Center for Economics and Politics (abbreviated CEP) is a think-tank based in the Czech Republic, founded by leader of Civic Democratic Party Václav Klaus in 1998. Other people involved with CEP include Petr Mach and Jan Skopeček. In 2013, CEP was merged with Václav Klaus' Institute but still exists. It serves as a service organisation of Václav Klaus' Institute. CEP originally served as a think tank of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS) but separated from the party due to conflicts between Klaus and the party's leadership. CEP was then replaced by CEVRO Liberal Conservative Academy CEVRO is a think-tank affiliated with the Civic Democratic Party (ODS), a political party in the Czech Republic. Civic Democratic Party (Czech Republic)
The Civic Democratic Party ( cs, Občanská demokratická strana, ODS) is a liberal-conservative and soft eurosceptic political party in the Czech Republic. It holds 34 seats in the Chamber of Deputies, and is the second strongest party by number of seats following the 2021 election. It is the only political party in the Czech Republic that has always been represented in the Chamber of Deputies. Founded in 1991 as the pro- free market wing of the Civic Forum by Václav Klaus and modeled on the British Conservative Party, the ODS won the 1992 legislative election, and has remained in government for most of the Czech Republic's independence. Václav Klaus
Václav Klaus (; born 19 June 1941) is a Czech economist and politician who served as the second president of the Czech Republic from 2003 to 2013. From July 1992 until the dissolution of Czechoslovakia in January 1993, he served as the second and last prime minister of the Czech Republic while it was a federal subject of the Czech and Slovak Federative Republic, and then as the first prime minister of the newly independent Czech Republic from 1993 to 1998. During the Communist era, Klaus worked as a bank clerk and forecaster. After the fall of Communism in November 1989, he became the Minister of Finance in the "government of national unity". Petr Mach
Petr Mach (born 6 May 1975) is a Czech economist and former Member of the European Parliament. He is the founder of the Party of Free Citizens which he led until 2017 when he was replaced by Tomáš Pajonk. Early career In 1997, Mach became chairman of the Young Conservatives, the youth wing of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS). In 2003 he earned a PhD from the Department of Monetary Theory and Policy of the University of Economics, Prague. Mach worked as an executive director of the Center for Economics and Politics in Prague from 1999 to 2009, and as an external economic adviser to Czech President Václav Klaus from 2003 to 2007, with whom he shares enthusiasm for the free market economy and euroscepticism. Václav Klaus' Institute
Václav Klaus Institute ( cs, Institut Václava Klause) is a Think tank based in the Czech Republic. The institute was established by Václav Klaus when his term as President of the Czech Republic ended and was inspired by the libraries of former American presidents. Other people involved with the institute are Jiří Weigl and Václav Klaus' sons. The institute was originally set up to serve as the Václav Klaus Library. It is financially supported by Petr Kellner. The institute is closely associated with many prominent politicians of the Civic Democratic Party, including Jan Skopeček and Václav Klaus Jr. The institute itself is critical to the current Civic Democratic leader Petr Fiala. CEVRO is a think-tank affiliated with the Civic Democratic Party (ODS), a political party in the Czech Republic. It was established in 1999 by Ivan Langer. Think Tanks Based In The Czech Republic
In their most common sense, the terms thought and thinking refer to conscious cognitive processes that can happen independently of sensory stimulation. Their most paradigmatic forms are judging, reasoning, concept formation, problem solving, and deliberation.
