Centennial is a small mountain-town in Albany County, Wyoming, United States. It serves a fairly large surrounding landscape of resorts, along with a few ranches, and is itself somewhat of a tourist attraction located along a gently sloping hillside traversed by a highway. Because it has been, since 1980 or later, included in a census-designated place (CDP), bearing the town's name, specific demographics characterizing the town itself are not available. Centennial Airlines was an airline based in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. History Centennial Airlines was founded in 1993. It operated charter services from its base in Mallorca using McDonnell Douglas MD-83 aircraft. Owing to fierce competition from other airlines that pushed charter fares down, the airline's relatively small size compared to its Northern European competitors and the lack of significant numbers of passenger bookings during the winter season, Centennial Airlines soon faced serious financial difficulties. Centennial Airlines went bankrupt in 1995 and ceased operations in 1996. An investigation regarding the apparent fraudulent bankruptcy of the company followed. Centennial Airlines was founded in Laramie, Wyoming and began operations on June 15, 1981, with an initial route linking Denver to Laramie and Worland, Wyoming using a single Cessna 414 aircraft. Lake Centennial (Maryland)
Centennial Lake is a man-made reservoir, in a park in Howard County, Maryland, near Columbia, Maryland and Clarksville, known as Centennial Park. It was created by damming the Centennial Branch of the Little Patuxent River. The lake and the park feature a dam, a wildlife area, a walking trail, boating, fishing, and other recreational activities. The park is owned by the Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks. The lake is used by the county and state for the conservation of various types of fish, such as trout and bass, with fishing restrictions implemented, though an overabundance has resulted in restrictions being lifted at times.
