Cencio La Parolaccia
Cencio la Parolaccia (; being ) is a restaurant in the Trastevere of Rome. It is mostly famous for the behaviour of its waiters, who curse at or otherwise verbally abuse the diners, including tourists. The restaurant mainly serves Roman cuisine. History The restaurant, initially called Osteria da Cencio (Cencio's eatery), was opened in 1941 by the couple Vincenzo "Cencio" and Renata de Santis who decided, following an episode involving the actor Massimo Serato, to combine traditional food with a form of entertainment based on folk songs often seasoned with risque jokes and profanities in the Romanesco dialect. The establishment became popular with the public and so in 1951, it officially took the name "La Parolaccia" and became a place for special dinners for actors and people in the show business. Alice Waters
Alice Louise Waters (born April 28, 1944) is an American chef, restaurateur, food writer, and author. In 1971, she opened Chez Panisse, a restaurant in Berkeley, California, famous for its role in creating the farm-to-table movement and for pioneering California cuisine. Waters has authored the books ''Chez Panisse Cooking'' (with Paul Bertolli), ''The Art of Simple Food I'' and ''II'', and ''40 Years of Chez Panisse''. Dick's Last Resort is a bar and restaurant chain in the United States known for its intentional employment of an obnoxious staff who "purposely provide bad service". The chain was founded in Dallas, Texas, in 1985 by Richard "Dick" Chase and currently operates thirteen locations across the United States. In 1995, the company attempted to expand to Europe and opened a restaurant in London, but the effort was abandoned and the restaurant was sold in early 1996. Atmosphere Dick's Last Resort teaches its servers to be obnoxious. In addition to the staff, the decor is considered to be "wacky". Wong Kei () is a Chinese restaurant in London's Chinatown, once described as "the rudest restaurant in London". It is one of the largest Chinese restaurants in the UK with seating for around 500 diners. Restaurant Wong Kei was once known for the rudeness of its staff, who would shout "Sit down with them!" or "Go upstairs!" to arriving patrons, insult customers who asked for a knife and fork, and chase those who failed to leave a sufficient tip.
