Cave Girl is a fictional jungle girl heroine who appeared in comic books published by Magazine Enterprises from 1952 to 1955, created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Bob Powell. The character's adventures are an example of artist Powell's good girl art. ''The Cave Girl'' is a lost world novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs. Originally published in two separate stories, ''The Cave Girl'' begun in February 1913 and published by "All-Story" in July, August, and September 1913; and ''The Cave Man'' begun in 1914 and published by "All-Story Weekly" throughout March and April 1917. The book version was first published by A. C. McClurg on 1925-03-21. ''The Cave Girl'' is a 1921 American silent drama film directed by Joseph J. Franz and featuring Teddie Gerard, Charles Meredith, Lillian Tucker and Boris Karloff in an early film role. The source for the William Parker screenplay was the stage play of the same name by George Middleton and Guy Bolton. The film's tagline was "A Romance of Silent Trails and Rushing Waters... ''Cavegirl'' is a 2002–03 British TV series created and written by Daniel Peacock. It starred Stacey Cadman, Stephen Marcus and Lucinda Rhodes-Flaherty. It followed the adventures of a teenage cavegirl. Although based in a Stone Age world, there are many references to modern pop culture and in a similar vein to ''The Flintstones'' there are many ancient versions of modern inventions featured. Its theme tune is a cover version of "Go Wild in the Country", sung by Stacey Cadman. It was developed by Dan and Producer Georgia Dussaud. Brendan Kibble aka "Wig" (born 16 October 1963) is an Australian singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He is best known for his work with Australian bands The Bam Balams and Navahodads and the American bands The Texreys and The Go Wows. Musical history Kibble's first bands were the Brisbane punk rock outfits Alphabet Children (1979–80) (vocals), Flying Squad (1980–81) (vocals, guitar), Vampire Lovers (1981) (guitar) and The Horde (1982) (vocals, guitar). Mary Elizabeth Parker (b. Schenectady, New York) is an American poet. She is best known for her collection, ''The Sex Girl'' (Urthona Press), which won the Urthona Poetry Prize in 1999. Her poetry has been widely anthologized in such journals as ''Gettysburg Review'', ''New Letters'', ''Arts & Letters'', ''Greensboro Review'', ''Madison Review'' and ''Confrontation''. The caveman is a stock character representative of primitive humans in the Paleolithic. The popularization of the type dates to the early 20th century, when Neanderthals were influentially described as " simian" or " ape-like" by Marcellin Boule and Arthur Keith. The term "caveman" has its taxonomic equivalent in the now-obsolete binomial classification of '' Homo troglodytes'' (Linnaeus, 1758).
