Catherine Hyndman
Catherine Hyndman (born 31 August 1990) is a Northern Irish footballer and football coach. A versatile left-sided player, she has appeared for the Northern Ireland women's national team. Career Hyndman was born in Belfast and moved with her family to Grange, County Sligo when she was 12 years old. She was selected for the Northern Ireland women's national under-19 football team while playing for Colchester United of the FA Women's Premier League Southern Division in England. She later played as a defender for Women's National League club Castlebar Celtic, while she attended Institute of Technology, Sligo. When Castlebar Celtic folded, she continued her football career by travelling to play for Sion Swifts of the Northern Ireland Women's Premiership. This was due to a lack of women's football teams in the Border Region. The Women's National League (WNL; ga, Sraith Náisiúnta na mBan) is the top-level league for women's association football in the Republic of Ireland. Women's Under 17 National League (Ireland)
The Women's Under-17 National League is the under-17 division of the Women's National League and the first under-age national league in women's football. The league was launched in 2018 with 11 clubs. Republic of Ireland internationals Heather Payne and Isibeal Atkinson, Tom Dennigan, Continental Tyres General Sales Manager and FAI Director of Competitions Fran Gavin helped launch the league in July 2018 at the FAI National Training Centre. The Showgrounds (Newry)
The Showgrounds is a football stadium in Newry, County Down, Northern Ireland. It was the home ground of Newry City F.C. and is now the home ground of their successor club, Newry City A.F.C. The stadium holds 7,949, but is currently restricted to 2,275 under safety legislation. The European qualifying competition for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup was a women's football competition that determined the eight UEFA teams joining the automatically qualified hosts France in the final tournament.
