Rolando Burgoa Pablos (born September 26, 1967) is an American executive, attorney, and Republican politician from the U.S. state of Texas. He was sworn in as the 111th Secretary of State of Texas on January 5, 2017. On December 6, 2018, Pablos announced his resignation as Secretary of State effective December 15. In August 2024, Pablos announced his intention to run for Mayor of San Antonio and officially filed for a place on the May 3, 2025 ballot on January 29, 2025. Sal Olivas (born c. 1946) is a former American football player. A native of El Paso, Texas, Olivas attended Cathedral High School in that city. He played college football for the New Mexico State Aggies football team from 1964 to 1967. As a senior in 1967, he led all NCAA major college players in both total offense yards (2,190) and passing yards (2,225), and ranked second in the NCAA in pass attempts (321) and passing touchdowns (19). Joseph Edward Moody (born January 9, 1981) is a lawyer from El Paso, Texas, who serves as Speaker Pro Tempore of the Texas House of Representatives. He has represented District 78, based entirely in El Paso County, since 2013. He is a member of the Democratic Party. Moody previously represented District 78 for the single term from 2009 to 2011. In 2012, he unseated the Republican Dee Margo, Mayor of El Paso from 2017 to 2021. Moody defeated Margo in the general elections of both 2008 and 2012, but Margo prevailed in the 2010 contest, with lowered turnout in a mid-term election. Moody won his fifth nonconsecutive term in the House in the general election held on November 6, 2018. David Campos Guaderrama (born May 23, 1954) is a Senior United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. Biography Guaderrama was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico and spent the early part of his life in Deming, New Mexico. His family moved to El Paso, Texas, in 1966, where he graduated from Cathedral High School in 1972. Guaderrama received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975 from New Mexico State University and his Juris Doctor in 1979 from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
