Catfish and the Bottlemen are a British indie rock band formed in Llandudno, Conwy, Wales, in 2007. The band currently consists of Van McCann (lead vocals, guitars) and Benji Blakeway (bass guitar, backing vocals). Billy Bibby & The Wry Smiles are a British rock band formed in the autumn of 2015 in the area around Llandudno, North Wales and Chester, England. Background Billy Bibby names Elvis Presley, Fleetwood Mac, Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits, Noel Gallagher, and George Harrison of The Beatles as key musical influences. The band is fronted by Billy Bibby, former lead guitarist and founding member of Catfish and the Bottlemen. In 2014, Billy Bibby began writing songs and playing acoustic shows in various UK cities in order to test public response to his new music. Brooklyn Steel is a music venue in Brooklyn, New York which opened in 2017. ''Rolling Stone'' named Brooklyn Steel one of the 10 best live music venues in America. Bookings are managed by AEG, using its AXS ticketing platform. History The name of the venue was inspired by the fact that the building was originally used as a steel manufacturing plant. Much of the steel from the original building was repurposed for the venue. The venue contains a main floor, a balcony, forty restrooms, and three bars. Construction for the venue began in July 2016, and it opened on April 6, 2017, with a five-night run of sold-out concerts by American rock band LCD Soundsystem. Stephen Paul Lamacq (born 16 October 1964), sometimes known by his nickname Lammo (given to him by John Peel), is an English disc jockey, currently working with BBC Radio 6 Music. Lamacq was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2025 New Year Honours for services to broadcasting and to music venues. Early life Lamacq was born in Bournemouth, and first lived in Ferndown. Kasabian
Kasabian ( ) are an English rock band formed in Leicester in 1997 by lead vocalist Tom Meighan, guitarist and second vocalist Sergio Pizzorno, guitarist Chris Karloff and bassist Chris Edwards. Drummer Ian Matthews joined in 2004. Karloff left the band in 2006 and founded a new band called Black Onassis. Jay Mehler joined as touring lead guitarist in 2006, leaving for Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye in 2013, to be replaced by Tim Carter, who later became a full-time band member in 2021. Northwich is a market town and civil parish in the Cheshire West and Chester borough of Cheshire, England.
