The Carte Imagine'R is a travel pass for students and young people between the ages of 12 and 25 years to travel in the Paris テ四e-de-France region. Valid for one year, it allows travel on public transport such as the Mテゥtro, buses A bus (contracted from omnibus, with variants multibus, motorbus, autobus, etc.) is a road vehicle that carries significantly more passengers than an average car or van. It is most commonly used in public transport, but is also in use for ..., or the RER. During the week, its users can freely travel in the zones defined by its subscription. On weekends, national holidays and during the school holidays, the card is 'de-zoned', authorizing its carrier to travel in all zones of the Paris テ四e-de-France region. The テ四e-de-France (, ; literally "Isle of France") is the most populous of the eighteen regions of France. The Paris Mテゥtro (french: Mテゥtro de Paris ; short for Mテゥtropolitain ) is a rapid transit system in the Paris metropolitan area, France. The RATP bus network covers the entire territory of the city of Paris and the vast majority of its near suburbs. The Rテゥseau Express Rテゥgional ( en, Regional Express Network), commonly abbreviated RER (), is a hybrid commuter rail and rapid transit system serving Paris and its suburbs. It acts as a combined city-centre underground rail system and suburbs-to-city-centre commuter rail. In the city centre it acts much like the Paris Mテゥtro, though faster, having fewer stops. This has made it a model for proposals to improve transit within other cities. The network consists of five lines: A, B, C, D and E. The Navigo card (french: links=yes, Carte Navigo), formerly called the Navigo pass, is a means of payment for public transportation introduced on 1 October 2001 in the City of Paris and テ四e-de-France region. It is implemented as a contactless smart card using the Calypso standard, initially with Radio-frequency identification (RFID), then Near-field communication (NFC) since 9 December 2013, and enables authenticated access at turnstiles by scanning the card at an electronic reader.
