Carte Imagine'R
The Carte Imagine'R is a travel pass for students and young people between the ages of 12 and 25 years to travel in the Paris ﾃ四e-de-France region. Valid for one year, it allows travel on public transport such as the Mﾃｩtro, buses A bus (contracted from omnibus, with variants multibus, motorbus, autobus, etc.) is a road vehicle that carries significantly more passengers than an average car or van. It is most commonly used in public transport, but is also in use for ..., or the RER. During the week, its users can freely travel in the zones defined by its subscription. On weekends, national holidays and during the school holidays, the card is 'de-zoned', authorizing its carrier to travel in all zones of the Paris ﾃ四e-de-France region. ﾃ四e-de-France
The ﾃ四e-de-France (, ; literally "Isle of France") is the most populous of the eighteen regions of France. Centred on the capital Paris, it is located in the north-central part of the country and often called the ''Rﾃｩgion parisienne'' (; en, Paris Region). ﾃ四e-de-France is densely populated and retains a prime economic position on the national stage: though it covers only , about 2% of metropolitan French territory, its 2017 population was nearly one-fifth of the national total. The Paris Mﾃｩtro (french: Mﾃｩtro de Paris ; short for Mﾃｩtropolitain ) is a rapid transit system in the Paris metropolitan area, France. A symbol of the city, it is known for its density within the capital's territorial limits, uniform architecture and unique entrances influenced by Art Nouveau. It is mostly underground and long. It has 308 stations, of which 64 have transfers between lines. The Montmartre funicular is considered to be part of the metro system, within which is represented by a 303rd fictive station "Funiculaire". RATP Bus Network
The RATP bus network covers the entire territory of the city of Paris and the vast majority of its near suburbs. Operated by the Rﾃｩgie Autonome des Transports Parisiens (RATP), this constitutes a dense bus network complementary to other public transport networks, all organized and financed by ﾃ四e-de-France Mobilitﾃｩs. Rﾃｩseau Express Rﾃｩgional
The Rﾃｩseau Express Rﾃｩgional ( en, Regional Express Network), commonly abbreviated RER (), is a hybrid commuter rail and rapid transit system serving Paris and its suburbs. It acts as a combined city-centre underground rail system and suburbs-to-city-centre commuter rail. In the city centre it acts much like the Paris Mﾃｩtro, though faster, having fewer stops. This has made it a model for proposals to improve transit within other cities. The network consists of five lines: A, B, C, D and E. The network has 257 stations and has interchanges with the Mﾃｩtro and commuter rail within the City of Paris and the suburbs. The lines are identified by letters to avoid confusion with the Mﾃｩtro lines, which are identified by numbers. Navigo Card
The Navigo card (french: links=yes, Carte Navigo), formerly called the Navigo pass, is a means of payment for public transportation introduced on 1 October 2001 in the City of Paris and ﾃ四e-de-France region. It is implemented as a contactless smart card using the Calypso standard, initially with Radio-frequency identification (RFID), then Near-field communication (NFC) since 9 December 2013, and enables authenticated access at turnstiles by scanning the card at an electronic reader. Since July 2018, the payment, loading of season or single tickets and their validation at turnstiles is directly possible with a smartphone.
