Carol Ellen Wright (née Brooker; born 21 September 1960) is an English television personality and exhibitions organizer who is best known as a former recurring cast member on the ITVBe reality television series ''The Only Way Is Essex'' (2011–2017). Early life Carol Ellen Brooker was born at her parents home in West Ham, Essex, England on 21 September 1960. She is the third and youngest daughter to Charles Thomas Brooker (1930–2007) and his wife, Patricia Joan "Nanny Pat" (née Spicer; 1935–2015). She weighed eight pounds. She has two elder sisters and two younger brothers. Her maternal grandmother was part of the family who ran Chipperfield's Circus. Wright attended Tidal Basin School. The Only Way Is Essex
''The Only Way Is Essex'' (often abbreviated as ''TOWIE'' ) is a British reality television series based in Brentwood, Essex, England. It shows "real people in modified situations, saying unscripted lines but in a structured way." Broadcast on ITV2 from 2010, the series was moved to ITVBe in October 2014 and set to move back to ITV2 in autumn 2025. The first series consisted of 10 episodes and ran for 30 minutes, with a Christmas special following later in the year. Due to popularity, the runtime was extended to 45-minute episodes and renewed for a year's airing. On 22 May 2011, the series won the Audience Award at the 2011 BAFTA Awards. On 13 March 2016, ITVBe aired a one-off documentary hosted by former cast member Mark Wright, discussing the history of the series. Carol Lynn Wright Pearson (born December 1, 1939) is an American poet, author, screenwriter, and playwright. She frequently addresses the topics of LGBT acceptance and the role of Latter-day Saint women. Personal life A fourth-generation Latter-day Saint, Pearson was born in Salt Lake City to Lelland Rider Wright and Emeline Sirrine Wright. They would settle in Provo, where Pearson attended Brigham Young High School. Her mother died of breast cancer when Carol Lynn was fifteen.
