Carlston Township is a township in Freeborn County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 332 at the 2000 census. Carlston Township was organized in 1858, and named for Theodore L. Carls(t)on, a pioneer settler. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of , of which is land and (8.03%) is water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 332 people, 126 households, and 95 families residing in the township. The population density was 10.0 people per square mile (3.9/km2). There were 131 housing units at an average density of 4.0/sq mi (1.5/km2). The racial makeup of the township was 99.40% White and 0.60% Asian. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.30% of the population.
