Robert Caplin is an American photographer and photojournalism, photojournalist. He is best known for his work photographing pop singer Justin Bieber. Life and career Caplin grew up in Athens, Ohio, where he also graduated from Ohio University's School of Visual Communication in 2005. In 2002, when he was 19, Caplin began an internship with ''The Columbus Dispatch'' and photographed a riot after an Ohio State University football game. He later got an internship at the ''Los Angeles Times'', then one at ''The New York Times'', where he became a regular contributor. Capelin
The capelin or caplin (''Mallotus villosus'') is a small forage fish of the smelt family found in the North Atlantic, North Pacific and Arctic oceans. In summer, it grazes on dense swarms of plankton at the edge of the ice shelf. Larger capelin also eat a great deal of krill and other crustaceans. Among others, whales, seals, Atlantic cod, Atlantic mackerel, squid and seabirds prey on capelin, in particular during the spawning season while the capelin migrate south. Capelin spawn on sand and gravel bottoms or sandy beaches at the age of two to six years. When spawning on beaches, capelin have an extremely high post-spawning mortality rate which, for males, is close to 100%. Males reach in length, while females are up to long. Roxey Ann Caplin (c. 1793 – 2 August 1888) was a British writer and inventor. Biography She was born in about 1793 in British North America. Around 1835, she married Jean Francois Isidore Caplin (c.1790-c.1872). From 1839, Caplin was a corsetmaker working at 58 Berners Street, London. At the Great Exhibition in 1851, she was awarded the prize medal of "Manufacturer, Designer and Inventor" for her corsetry designs. The corsets from the Great Exhibition in 1851 are in the Museum of London. In 1860, she became a member of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce (RSA). By 1864, she had filed 24 patents. She died on 2 August 1888 at Cambridge Lodge, St Leonard's East Sheen in Surrey. "Kid Dropper" Nathan Caplin or Kaplan (August 3, 1891 – August 28, 1923), also known as Jack the Dropper, was an American gangster who controlled labor racketeering and extortion in New York City during the post-World War I period into the early years of Prohibition in the early 1920s. Biography Nathan Caplin was one of seven sons of Joseph Caplin. He was born in New York's Lower East Side on August 3, 1891. His parents were Jewish immigrants from the Russian Empire. Later Caplin would modify his surname to Kaplan to shield his own family and confuse police. His mother died when he was still young.
