Capital One Park is a baseball stadium located in Tysons, Virginia, on the campus of the headquarters of Capital One. The stadium has a seating capacity of 650 and features a synthetic turf field with a natural pitching mound, an electronic scoreboard, and professional lighting. It serves as the home stadium for the Georgetown Hoyas baseball program and hosts various collegiate and high school baseball events, including the Atlantic 10 Conference baseball tournament. The Potomac League was a minor league baseball league that played a partial season as a Class D level league in 1916. The Potomac League featured four teams based in West Virginia and Maryland. The Potomac League permanently folded on August 16, 1916 with the Frostburg Demons in first place. History Cumberland, Maryland resident Colonel Nelson W. Russler and Cumberland attorney Fuller Barnard Jr. laid the groundwork the Potomac League at a meeting held in February, 1916. The Shenandoah Hornets are the athletic teams that represent Shenandoah University, located in Winchester, Virginia, in intercollegiate sports.
