Alexis Candelario Santana (born 1972) is a Puerto Rican convicted criminal and former leader of a drug cartel. In March 2013, he was sentenced for the 2009 deaths of nine persons, including an unborn girl, and the attempted murders of 19 others during the 2009 Sabana Seca massacre. The Court of Appeals for the First Circuit later ordered a retrial. Biography Candelario Santana's criminal record links him to multiple crimes committed since about 1991. Starting in 1996, the organization he led allegedly trafficked marijuana, cocaine, heroin and crack drugs. Claro Candelario (born 1905) was a Filipino labor leader of the early 1940s to the mid-1960s. Biography Claro Candelario was born in 1905 in San Fernando, La Union, to a poor family. A good student, he excelled in school and, after two years of high school, worked for the superintendent of schools. He later to Manila for work, where he attended the Philippine Normal School. Candelario moved back to his home province and became the assistant principal of its public school. Candelario married his childhood sweetheart, teacher Ines Nufable. They had a daughter, Angelina, and a son born May 30, 1930. That same day in 1930, Candelario boarded the ''Empress of Russia'' and traveled to Victoria, Canada wishing to improve his education and pay; his wife and children remained in San Fernando. Candelario Duvergel (2 February 1963 — 17 June 2016) was an amateur boxer from Cuba. Duvergel is better known for winning 2 consecutive Pan American Games gold medals in the light welterweight division. Duvergel was renowned for his counter-attacking prowess. He won 8 Cuban national championships but he had trouble replicating his success in international competitions, despite regularly defeating other Cuban amateur champions like Juan Carlos Lemus. Candelario Garcia, Jr. (February 26, 1944 – January 10, 2013) was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and a recipient of the Medal of Honor. "Biography" or "Citation" tabs. Candelario Huízar García de la Cadena (2 February 1883 - 3 May 1970, Mexico City) was a Mexican composer, musician and music teacher. He completed four symphonies, leaving a fifth unfinished, and a string quartet, but is remembered most for his tone poems. He also left celebrated arrangements of works by Vivaldi and Bach, among others. Early life Huízar was born in Jerez, Zacatecas into a working-class family, and he became a goldsmith apprentice at a very early age. Huízar taught himself to play the guitar as a child.
