Legal Branch (Canadian Forces)
The Legal Branch () is a personnel branch of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). It primarily deals with the Canadian Forces' legal affairs. Legal officers are primarily accepted through the Direct-Entry Training Program, and must have a degree in law as well as be a member of a Canadian provincial or territorial bar. However, the CAF also selects a few currently serving members each year to attend law school and join the Legal Branch through the Military Legal Training Plan. Training Military Law Centre The Military Law Centre on the grounds of the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC) in Kingston, Ontario, which is staffed with nine military lawyers, oversees the education of officers and troops in legal matters ranging from the Forces' own code of conduct to the laws of war. The Governor General's Horse Guards
The Governor General's Horse Guards is an armoured cavalry regiment in the Primary Reserve of the Canadian Army. The regiment is part of 4th Canadian Division's 32 Canadian Brigade Group and is based in Toronto, Ontario. It is the most senior reserve regiment in Canada, and the only household cavalry regiment of Canada's three household units. The 12e Régiment blindé du Canada (a translation of its former name, the "12th Canadian Armoured Regiment") is a Canadian Army armoured warfare, armoured regiment based in CFB Valcartier, on the outskirts of Quebec City. Lord Strathcona's Horse (Royal Canadians) (LdSH(RC)) is a regular armoured warfare, armoured regiment of the Canadian Army and is Canada’s only tank regiment. Currently based in Edmonton, Alberta, the regiment is part of 3rd Canadian Division's 1 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group. The Royal Canadian Dragoons (RCD) is the senior armoured regiment of the Canadian Army by precedence. It is one of three armoured regiments in the Regular Force and forms part of the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps. The colonel-in-chief of the RCD is Charles III, King of Canada. The Special Operations Forces Branch (SOFB, ) is a personnel branch of the Canadian Armed Forces, consisting of all members of special operations trades. Nearly all members of the SOFB are employed in Canadian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM). SOFB members wear service dress uniforms that are distinct from the navy, army and air force uniforms.
