Damian Warner
Damian David George Warner (born November 4, 1989) is a Canadian track and field athlete specializing in decathlon. He is the 2020 Olympic champion and a three-time World medallist (silver in 2015, bronze in 2013 and 2019). Warner also won the bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics and was the 2014 Commonwealth champion and the two-time and reigning Pan American champion from the 2015 and 2019 Games. Warner holds the Pan Am Games record and the Canadian record for the decathlon, and the fourth-highest decathlon score in history. Competing in the heptathlon, he is the 2022 World Indoor champion. The men's 1500 metres at the 2023 World Athletics Championships was held at the National Athletics Centre in Budapest from 19 to 22 August 2023. The winning margin was 0.27 seconds. Kieran Lumb
Kieran Lumb (born 2 August 1998) is a Canadian middle- and long-distance runner. He competed collegiately for the UBC Thunderbirds (2016-2020) and the Washington Huskies (2021-2023) before turning professional in April 2023. He holds the Canadian record in the indoor and outdoor 3000 m, having set both records in 2023. Abdullahi Hassan
Abdullahi Hassan is a Canadian middle-distance runner who competes in the 800 m. Since 2021, he has competed collegiately for the Wisconsin Badgers. He represented Canada at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest. Andre De Grasse
Andre De Grasse (born November 10, 1994) is a Canadian sprinter. A six-time Olympic medallist, De Grasse is the reigning Olympic champion in the 200 m, and also won the silver in the 200 m in 2016. He won a second silver in the 4×100 relay in 2020. He also has three Olympic bronze medals, placing third in the 100 m at both the 2016 and 2020 Games, and also in the 4×100 m relay in 2016. The men's 200 metres at the 2023 World Athletics Championships was held at the National Athletics Centre in Budapest from 23 to 25 August 2023. Summary As the carts were bringing the semi finalists to the track from the warm up area, one cart T-boned the other. Andrew Hudson received minor injuries with broken glass getting into his eye. The first semi was moved to last in the order to give Hudson and the other athletes a chance to recover. A relaxed defending champion Noah Lyles came through as the #1 qualifier. Aaron Brown (sprinter)
Aaron Brown (born 27 May 1992) is a Canadian sprinter who specializes in the 100 and 200 metres. As part of Canada's 4×100 m relay team, he is a two-time Olympic medallist at the 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics, and the 2022 World champion. Brown has also won two World bronze medals as part of Canada's 4×100 m relay teams in 2013 and 2015. Brendon Rodney
Brendon Rodney (born 9 April 1992) is a Canadian sprinter. As a member of the Canadian men's relay team, he is a two-time Olympic medallist in the 4 × 100 metres relay, taking silver in 2020 and bronze in 2016. Jerome Blake
Jerome Blake (born August 18, 1995) is a Canadian track and field athlete specializing in the sprint events. As a member of the Canadian 4×100 m relay team, he is the 2020 Olympic silver medalist and the 2022 World champion. Career Early career Blake was born in Buff Bay, Jamaica, where he started his young track career as a hurdler in the 400 m. After attending his brother's soccer game, he began testing his speed on track which a coach noticed and convinced him to switch to sprinting.
