Cambanoora Gorge
The Gorge runs between the source of the Condamine River and the town of Killarney in Queensland, Australia. It is not officially named and is also known as the Condamine Gorge and the 14 River Crossings. the area is officially known as "The Falls" The gorge begins in the historical area of the head which is bordered by Wilsons Peak to the east and Mount Superbus to the north. Commencing at this broad grassland, the gorge narrows as the river encounters harder trachyte rock. This creates a dramatic landscape. The road through the gorge was used to carry supplies and mail to early settlers along the length of the gorge, and to bring timber to the railway in Killarney. Condamine River
The Condamine River, part of the Balonne catchment that is part of the Murray-Darling Basin, drains the northern portion of the Darling Downs, an area of sub-coastal southern Queensland, Australia. Wilsons Peak
Wilsons Peak ( Aboriginal: ''Jirramen'') is a mountain on the border of New South Wales and Queensland, Australia. Much of which is covered in rainforest. It marks the intersection of the Great Dividing Range with the McPherson Range in the Scenic Rim region. Wilsons Peak can be summited from eastern or western approaches by following the Darling Downs-Moreton Rabbit Board fence which straddles the border. Wilsons Peak is of volcanic origin, formed from volcanic activity from the Main Range Volcanic Plateau. The summit block which consists of volcanic Igneous rock, hosts many lithophyte communities mostly consisting of orchids and mosses. The summit area is covered in primarily Melaleuca shrubs. Mount Superbus
Mount Superbus lies south-west of the centre of Brisbane, Australia and is South East Queensland's highest peak at . At this elevation, it is the fifth-highest peak in Queensland, after Mount Bartle Frere at , Mount Bellenden Ker at , Mount Fisher at and Mount Carbine Tableland at , all in Far North Queensland. It has an extensive logging history dating back to the mid-19th century. Mount Superbus was originally covered in dense hoop pine forests. Red cedar and other valuable timbers were also heavily logged in the area. It is now part of the Main Range National Park. Trachyte
Trachyte () is an extrusive igneous rock composed mostly of alkali feldspar. It is usually light-colored and aphanite, aphanitic (fine-grained), with minor amounts of mafic minerals, and is formed by the rapid cooling of lava (or shallow intrusions) enriched with silica and alkali metals. It is the volcanic equivalent of syenite. Overtourism is congestion or overcrowding from an excess of tourists, resulting in conflicts with locals. A canyon (; archaic British English spelling: ''cañon''), gorge or chasm, is a deep cleft between escarpments or cliffs resulting from weathering and the erosive activity of a river over geologic time scales. Rivers have a natural tendency to cut through underlying surfaces, eventually wearing away rock layers as sediments are removed downstream.
