Calgary Stampeders
The Calgary Stampeders are a professional Canadian football team based in Calgary, Alberta. The Stampeders compete in the West Division (CFL), West Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL). The club plays its home games at McMahon Stadium and are the fifth oldest active franchise in the CFL. The Stampeders were officially founded in 1945, although there were clubs operating in Calgary since the 1890s. The Calgary Stampeders have won eight Grey Cups, most recently in 106th Grey Cup, 2018, from their appearances in 17 Grey Cup Championship games. They have won 20 Western Division Championships and one Northern Division Championship in the franchise's history. The team has a Battle of Alberta, provincial rivalry with the Edmonton Elks, as well as fierce divisional rivalries with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the BC Lions. Jon Cornish
Jonathan Michael Cornish (born November 5, 1984) is a Canadian former professional football running back who played nine seasons with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was drafted 13th overall in the 2006 CFL Draft after playing college football at the University of Kansas. Cornish was inducted as a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2019 on his first ballot. While at Kansas, Cornish set the KU single-season rushing record with 1,457 yards and was selected First Team All-Big XII in his senior year. During his collegiate career, he was also selected Team Offensive MVP in both his junior year and senior year. Professionally, after taking over starting duties from Calgary's all-time leading rusher Joffrey Reynolds midway through 2011, Cornish rushed for 611 yards in the final seven games of the season, averaging 7.7 yards per carry. James Sykes (born November 7, 1954) is an American former professional football running back in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Calgary Stampeders from 1977 through 1982, and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 1983 and 1986. Romby Bryant
Romby Bryant (born December 21, 1979) is a former Canadian football wide receiver. Bryant spent the majority of his professional career playing for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League. He was signed by the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2004. He played college football at Tulsa. He graduated from Western Heights High School in Oklahoma City in 1999. Bryant was also a member of the Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, and Toronto Argonauts. Terry Evanshen
Terrence Anthony "Terry" Evanshen (born June 13, 1944) is a motivational speaker and former star receiver in the Canadian Football League. CFL Drafted by the Montreal Alouettes, Terry went on to have an outstanding career in the CFL playing for 13 years from 1965–1978, with the Montreal Alouettes, the Calgary Stampeders, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and the Toronto Argonauts playing in nearly 200 games and scoring over 90 touchdowns. Terry won the Gruen Trophy as the Eastern Rookie of the Year in 1965, the Most Outstanding Canadian Award in 1967 and 1971, was an all star 7 times, won the Grey Cup in 1970 and was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1984. Joffrey Reynolds
Joffrey Roy Reynolds (born November 26, 1979) is a former professional Canadian football running back. He played eight years for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League where he was the franchise's all-time leading rusher with 9,213 rushing yards. For six consecutive years Reynolds rushed for over 1,000 yards. He was named a CFL All-Star four times and won a Grey Cup championship with the Stampeders in 2008. Tom Forzani
Tom Forzani (born June 15, 1951) is a former Canadian football wide receiver for the CFL Calgary Stampeders. He played from 1973 to 1983 for the Stampeders. He is one of three Forzani brothers to play for their hometown Stampeders, along with Joe and John. Forzani's son, Johnny Forzani, also played for the Stampeders. Tom was an all-star selection at wide receiver in 1973, '74 and '77. Tom lead the Stampeders in receiving in 5 season and had 50 or more catches in 7 seasons. Nik Lewis
Nikolas Lewis (born June 3, 1982) is the Wide receivers coach, receivers coach for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and he is a former professional Canadian football slotback who played for 15 years in the CFL. He is a two-time Grey Cup champion, winning in 96th Grey Cup, 2008 and 102nd Grey Cup, 2014 with the Stampeders. In his first season, he won the CFL Rookie of the Year award, followed by five West Division All-Star and three CFL All-Star awards. He is second all-time as a Stampeder in receptions (805), receiving yards (11,250), and touchdown catches (65) behind Allen Pitts. He also has the club record for consecutive games with a reception, with 166. Kelvin Anderson
Kelvin Anderson (born February 4, 1972) is an American former professional football player. As a running back, he rushed for over 1,000 yards in eight consecutive seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL), a league record. He won the CFL's Grey Cup championship twice, as a member of the Calgary Stampeders, in 1998 and 2001. Anderson played football at New Madrid County Central High School. Allen Pitts
Allen Pitts (born June 28, 1964) is an American former professional football wide receiver for the Calgary Stampeders in the Canadian Football League (CFL) from 1990 to 2000. He attended Cal-State Fullerton and played his entire professional career as a receiver for the Calgary Stampeders. He retired as the CFL's all-time leading receiver in term of career yardage until he was passed by Milt Stegall in 2008. College career Pitts played receiver for the Cal State Fullerton Titans. He completed his eligibility with the Titans in 1985. One of his teammates in college was future CFL quarterback, Damon Allen. Tommy Stevens
Thomas Mason Stevens (born December 15, 1996) is an American professional football quarterback for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Mississippi State and was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL draft as a quarterback. Stevens initially played football at Penn State before transferring to Mississippi State. Stevens has also been a member of the Carolina Panthers, New York Giants, and Calgary Stampeders.
