Caldwell Hart Colt
Caldwell Hart Colt (November 24, 1858 – January 21, 1894) was an American inventor and yachtsman. Biography Caldwell Hart Colt was born in Hartford, Connecticut, the son of Samuel Colt, founder of Colt's Patent Fire-Arms Manufacturing Company (now known as Colt's Manufacturing Company) and Elizabeth Jarvis Colt. Caldwell Colt attended Yale University and was known later in life for being a yachtsman. He served as vice-commodore of the New York Yacht Club in 1888 and commodore of the Larchmont Yacht Club from 1892–1893. He was the owner of the schooner yacht ''Dauntless'' and sloop ''Wizard''. The New York pilot-boat ''Caldwell H. Colt'' was named in honor of Colt. Following in his father's footsteps as a gunmaker, in 1879 he designed the Colt double barrel rifle. Caldwell Edwards (January 8, 1841 – July 23, 1922) was a U.S. Representative from Montana. Born in Sag Harbor, New York, Edwards was educated in the district schools. He worked as a salesman and bookkeeper in dry-goods stores for several years. He moved to Bozeman, Montana, in 1864 and became engaged in agricultural pursuits. He served as member of the Montana House of Representatives from 1901 to 1905. Edwards was elected as a Populist to the Fifty-seventh Congress The 57th United States Congress was a meeting of the legislative branch of the United States federal government, composed of the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives. Caldwell "Pops" Jones (August 4, 1950 – September 21, 2014) was an American professional basketball player. Jones was drafted out of Albany State College by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 14th pick in the 1973 NBA draft. He played three seasons in the American Basketball Association (ABA) and 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA), most extensively with the 76ers. Jones led the ABA in blocked shots in the 1973–74 season, and played in the 1975 ABA All-Star Game. He shares (with Julius Keye) the ABA's all-time record for blocked shots in a game with 12. Jones' brothers, Charles, Wil and Major all played at Albany State and in the NBA. The most prominent of the foursome, Caldwell was best known as the least flamboyant member of the high-powered 76ers teams of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Robert Dugald Caldwell Stewart (2 December 1907 – 25 August 1967) was a Progressive Conservative party member of the House of Commons of Canada. He was born in Dalhousie, New Brunswick and became a lawyer by career. He was first elected at the Charlotte riding in the 1958 general election. Stewart served for one term, the 24th Canadian Parliament The 24th Canadian Parliament was in session from May 12, 1958, until April 19, 1962.
