Bernat Calbó
Bernat Calbó (or Calvó) (''c''. 1180 – 26 October 1243), sometimes called Bernard of Calvo, was a Principality of Catalonia, Catalan jurist, bureaucrat, monk, bishop, and soldier. Born and educated in Manso Calvo near Reus, Bernat belonged to a family of the knightly class and early on served as a jurist and functionary at the ''curia'' of the Archdiocese of Tarragona. In 1214 he became a Cistercian monk at the monastery of Santes Creus, eventually being elected its first abbot and, in 1223 or 1233, Bishop of Vich. In 1238 he and his episcopal household joined the Crusade of ''Reconquista'' launched against the Taifa of Valencia, ''taifa'' of Valencia. Bernat brought material aid to the sieges of Siege of Burriana, Burriana and Valencia, Valencia, Valencia. When the latter fell to the forces of James I of Aragon, Bernard and his troops joined the rest for a celebratory first Mass in the central mosque of the city. Calbo (rapper)
Calboni M'Bani better known by his stage name Calbo is a French rapper. He was a member of the French rap duo Ärsenik with his brother Gaëlino M'Bani known as Lino in the duo. He has also his solo output independent of Ärsenik. Calbo's family originates from Congo. Ärsenik started as a band in mid 1990s. Until 1997, the group also included Tony Truand, a cousin. In 1998, now a duo, Ärsenik released their first album ''Quelques gouttes suffisent'' went double gold. In 2007 the group released a disc titled ''S'il en reste quelque chose'' which included the most popular songs from the two brothers, such as "L'enfer remonte à la surface", "Rime & chatiments" and "Sexe, pouvoir & biftons". In the late 1990s, Calbo and his brother Lino teamed up with a group of rappers who were also second-generation Africans, on a collaborative project called Bisso Na Bisso, an expression which means "just between ourselves" in Lingala, the most commonly spoken language in the Congo region. Ärsenik is a rap group based in Villiers-le-Bel, France, founded in 1992, and made up of two brothers, Lino (Gaëlino M'Bani) and Calbo (Calboni M'Bani), whose family is originally from Congo. Career Ärsenik started as a band in mid 1990s. Until 1997, the group also included Tony Truand, a cousin. In 1998, now a duo, Ärsenik released their first album ''Quelques gouttes suffisent'' went double gold. A new album was planned for 2005, but the two brothers instead decided to concentrate on solo albums. Calbo Family
The Calbo family later on Calbo-Crotta is an Italian noble mercantile family originating from Padua and then established in Venice starting the year 891. It became part of the Great Council of Venice ( it, Maggior Consiglio) after the battle of Genoa in 1310. They were given nobility title in 1817 and were part of Venetian nobility. Notable members *Luigi Calbo, an administrator in the kingdom of Negroponte and who died during the conquests of Mehmed the Conqueror (Mehmed II) in 1470 *Antonio Calbo, a councilor in Kingdom of Candia in 1539, and fought for the withdrawals of the Turkish occupation *Francesco Calbo (1760-1827), son of Giovanni Marco and Lucrezia Crotta. Calbovista
''Calbovista'' is a fungal genus containing the single species ''Calbovista subsculpta'', commonly known as the sculptured puffball, sculptured giant puffball, and warted giant puffball. It is a common puffball of the Rocky Mountains and Pacific Coast ranges of western North America. The puffball is more or less round with a diameter of up to , white becoming brownish in age, and covered with shallow pyramid-shaped plates or scales. It fruits singly or in groups along roads and in open woods at high elevations, from summer to autumn. Although the puffball was originally described as new to science by Elizabeth Eaton Morse in 1935, it was not published validly until 60 years later. The species is named for its resemblance to '' Calvatia sculpta'', from which it can be usually distinguished in the field by its less prominent pyramidal warts, and microscopically by the antler-like branches of its capillitium (thread-like material among the spores).
