CU–SGP
Christian Union–SGP () is a collaboration between the Dutch political parties Christian Union (CU) and Reformed Political Party (SGP). In some municipal elections and Provincial Council elections, the parties submit a joint list. Before the merger of the Reformed Political Alliance (GPV) and the Reformatory Political Federation (RPF) into Christian Union in 2000, these parties also participated in various combinations, including SGP/RPF/GPV. From 1984 to 2019, the parties (or the predecessors of Christian Union) participated jointly in the European Parliament elections. General The RPF, GPV, and SGP differed in their attitudes towards electoral cooperation. Independence/Democracy
Independence/Democracy (IND/DEM) was a Euroscepticism, Eurosceptic Political groups of the European Parliament, political group that operated in the European Parliament between 2004 and 2009. At its height in 2004, it had 37 MEPs and it only existed during the Sixth European Parliament, European Parliament's 6th term. It was affiliated with the Eurosceptic Europeans United for Democracy party. Ideologically, IND/DEM was strongly opposed to the European Union and positioned on the Radical right (Europe), radical right within the right-wing spectrum. It was a very heterogeneous grouping; it also included parties such as the UK Independence Party, Greek Popular Orthodox Rally, French Movement for France, League of Polish Families, and Lega Nord. 2024 European Parliament Election In The Netherlands
The 2024 European Parliament election in the Netherlands was held on 6 June 2024 as part of the 2024 European Parliament election. It was the tenth time the elections have been held for the European elections in the Netherlands, and the first to take place after Brexit. Provincial Council (Netherlands)
The provincial council (, PS), also known as the States-Provincial, is the provincial parliament and legislative assembly in each of the provinces of the Netherlands. It is elected for each province simultaneously once every four years and has the responsibility for matters of sub-national or regional importance. The number of seats in a provincial council is proportional to its population. The provincial councils originated as Estates assemblies in the Middle Ages, hence the name 'States Provincial'. Bastiaan "Bas" Belder (born 25 October 1946) is a Dutch politician and former Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from the Netherlands.
