The Compania de Transport Public (CTP) Iași ( English: ''Iași Public Transport Company'') is the major transit operator responsible for public transportation in Iași, Romania. Until September 2016, CTP was known as the ''Autonomous Public Transport Operator of Iași'' ( Romanian: ''Regia Autonomă de Transport Public (RATP) Iași''). History Established on 19 March 1898, CTP Iași operates an extensive network using metre gauge trams (electric trams began operating in 1900) and buses. Trolleybuses were used on a number of routes starting in 1985, but all trolleybus routes (within a system length of , as of 2003) were converted to bus operation by 2006. The Iași city is partly built on hills, and the tram network reaches, on certain portions, large slopes. GT4 (Stuttgart)
The GT4 (from German: Gelenktriebwagen 4-achsig, which translates as ''4-axle articulated tramcar'') is an articulated tram vehicle built by Maschinenfabrik Esslingen from 1959 until 1965. History 380 GT4 trams were produced of which 350 were delivered to the Stuttgarter Strassenbahnen, the public transport operator of Stuttgart. The remaining 30 vehicles were delivered to Freiburg (19), Neunkirchen (Saar) (8) and Reutlingen (3). The 350 Stuttgart-vehicles were uni-directional, had three double-doors, and were built to gauge. The remaining cars were bi-directional and built with gauge, with the exception of the Neunkirchen cars, which were built to standard gauge. They also had four powered axles whereas two powered axles was the standard variant. Tram services in Neunkirchen ended in 1978. Copou Park
The Copou Park or Copou Gardens is the oldest public park in Iaşi, Romania. Its development started in 1834 under the reign of Mihail Sturdza, making the park one of the first public gardens in Romania and a Iaşi landmark. In its centre lies the Obelisk of Lions (1834), a tall obelisk dedicated to Regulamentul Organic, the first law on political, administrative and juridical organization in the Romanian Principalities. Other landmarks include Eminescu's Linden Tree, the Mihai Eminescu Museum and the Junimea Alley.
