CMLL Super Viernes (December 2012)
In December 2012, the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) held four CMLL Super Viernes shows, all of which took place in Arena México on Friday nights. Some of the matches from Super Viernes were taped for CMLL's weekly shows that aired in Mexico the week following the Super Viernes show. The shows featured various professional wrestling matches with different wrestlers involved in pre-existing scripted feuds or storylines. Wrestlers portrayed either villains (referred to as "''rudos''" in Mexico) or fan favorites ("''technicos''" in Mexico) as they followed a series of tension-building events, which culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches. Shadito Cruz
Juan Alvarado Ibarra (January 7, 1915 - February 3, 2003) was a Mexican ''luchador'', or professional wrestler, better known under the ring name Shadito Cruz. Best known as the patriarch of the Alvarado wrestling family that includes six of Alvarado's sons and many of his grandchildren, Cruz achieved little success as a wrestler but became a well respected trainer. Brazo De Plata
José Luis Alvarado Nieves (March 19, 1963 – July 26, 2021) was a Mexican '' luchador'' best known under the ring name Brazo de Plata, a name he had used since his debut in 1977. He is also well known for his appearances in WWE as Super Porky. Mephisto (born December 10, 1968) is the ring name of a Mexico, Mexican ''lucha libre, luchador wrestling mask, enmascarado'', or masked Professional wrestling, professional wrestler and currently works for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). Ephesto (born July 10, 1965) is a Mexican luchador enmascarado ( Spanish for "masked professional wrestler"). Margarito real name has not been officially documented, a tradition in Mexican lucha libre where masked wrestlers' real names often are not a matter of public record. The wrestler currently known as Ephesto made his debut in 1982 and worked for almost 20 years as Pantera del Ring with limited success. Renato Ruíz Cortes (born May 9, 1977), better known by his ring name Averno (Hell), is a Mexican Professional wrestling, professional wrestler, signed to Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), where he is the current CMLL World Light Heavyweight Championship, CMLL World Light Heavyweight Champion in his first reign. La Copa Junior
The Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) has held the La Copa Junior ("The Junior Cup") tournament on an infrequent schedule since 1996. The tournament pays respect to the fact that wrestling is a family tradition in Lucha libre, with many second or even third-generation wrestlers following the footsteps of their relatives. So far CMLL has held ten tournaments starting in 1996 and then intermittently since 2005. While most of the family relationships are real there are a few instances of the family relationship being a storylines family relationship, such as Dragón Rojo Jr. being billed as the grandson of Dragón Rojo, when in reality that is simply a storyline created by CMLL.
