Canwest Global Communications Corporation, which operated under the corporate name Canwest, was a major Canada, Canadian media conglomerate based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with its head offices at Canwest Place (now called 201 Portage). It held radio, television broadcasting, and publishing assets in several countries, primarily in Canada. Canwest was founded in 1974 by Izzy Asper through the formation of CIII-DT, CIII-TV in Toronto under the Global Television Network. Caulfield Grammar School
Caulfield Grammar School is a private, co-educational, Anglican, International Baccalaureate, day and boarding school, located in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Founded in 1881 as a boys' school, Caulfield Grammar began admitting girls exactly one hundred years later. It was a global league that featured teams representing cities from around the world. Crescent Girls' School
Crescent Girls' School (CGS) is a government autonomous girls' school along Tanglin Road, Singapore. Founded in 1956, it is one of the schools under the Worldwide Microsoft Innovative Schools Programme. History CGS was founded in 1955 as Alexandra Estate Secondary School with an intake of 117 boys and 53 girls. A year later, the boys were transferred to Pasir Panjang Secondary School. Evelyn Norris took over as principal from S. C. Thong and CGS came into existence as a girls' school in 1956. The crest, motto and school song date from the school's early history. The yellow and peacock blue uniforms were very much as they are today. Crescent's Brass Band, which later became the Symphonic Band, won its first gold medal two years later. Caistor Grammar School is a selective school with academy status in the English town of Caistor in the county of Lincolnshire, England. The school was founded in 1630. The College of General Studies (CGS) offers a two-year, general education core curriculum within Boston University. CGS is constructed in team system that limits the number of students in sections. The core curriculum is an interdisciplinary course of study taught by full-time Boston University faculty that all have attained PhD's. CGS freshmen are the second-largest incoming class of Boston University's ten undergraduate schools and colleges (next to the College of Arts and Sciences).
