C.G.S. Colony
C.G.S. colony (Antop Hill, Mumbai) is Asia's largest{{citation needed, date=March 2012 housing colony to provide housing to employees and staff of any central government body/organisation. C.G.S. is derived from Central Government Employees Society - the "E" is not used usually because saying "CGS" is much easier and faster than saying "CGES", but C.G.E.S. is the official short-form. The colony is located approximately mid-way of the King's Circle and Koliwada or Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar railway stations. Walking time between C.G.S. and both stations is an average of 20 minutes. C.G.S. colony consists of seven sectors, I through VII and the buildings are graded according to the number of rooms each apartment (or flat) of the building contains. Antop Hill
Antop Hill is a neighbourhood in Mumbai to the east of the Harbour railway line. It derives its name from a local Marathi owner called Antoba. In course of time the name was anglicised to "Antop". To the south is MBPT (Mumbai Port Trust Colony) and to the north is the C.G.S. colony. To the east at a distance lies the Trombay Hill and the RCF Factory. Antop Hill is well known for the Central Govt. Housing Colony. The Housing Colony came up in the late 1950s and caters mainly to housing government employees working in Customs, Income Tax, Indian navy, Sales Tax, and other central government departments. King's Circle
King's Circle (station code: KCE) is a railway station on the Harbour line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. King's Circle and Matunga stations are next to each other albeit the latter is on the Central line. It is named after the King's Circle Park, which was named after George V, the King-Emperor. The trains passing through King's Circle station are only the ones going to Bandra, Andheri and Goregaon from CSMT and vice versa.
