Båtsfjord () is a List of municipalities of Norway, municipality in Finnmark Counties of Norway, county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Båtsfjord (village), Båtsfjord (which is the only settlement remaining in the municipality). Båtsfjord Airport is a new, modern airport, located just outside Båtsfjord village. The Hurtigruten coastal express ferry also has regularly-scheduled stops in Båtsfjord village. The municipality is the 63rd largest by area out of the 357 municipalities in Norway. Båtsfjord is the 276th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 2,113. The municipality's population density is and its population has decreased by 4.3% over the previous 10-year period. Båtsfjord Airport
Båtsfjord Airport (, ) is a regional airport serving Båtsfjord Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. It consists of a  runway and served 14,485 passengers in 2016. A further 14,663 landed and started at the airport without leaving the aircraft. Scheduled services are provided by Widerøe using the Bombardier Dash 8, Dash 8 to Kirkenes, Hammerfest and other communities in Finnmark. The airport is owned and operated by the state-owned Avinor. It is the second airport in Båtsfjord. Båtsfjord Airport (1973–1999), The first was built in 1973, but only had a gravel runway. When Widerøe replaced their smaller de Havilland Canada Twin Otters (19-20 seats) with the Dash 8 (39 seats), a new airport was needed to serve Båtsfjord. The new airport cost 178 million Norwegian krone and opened on 9 September 1999. Båtsfjord (village)
or is the administrative centre of Båtsfjord Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The fishing village is located along the long Båtsfjorden, an inlet from the Barents Sea, along the northern coast of the Varanger Peninsula. The village sits at the northern end of Norwegian County Road 891. The Båtsfjord Airport lies just south of the village. The Hurtigruten coastal express has regular stops at Båtsfjord. The village has a population (2023) of 2,105 which gives the village a population density of . The village is home to over 99% of all the residents in the entire municipality (there are 2,113 residents in Båtsfjord Municipality in 2023). Båtsfjord is one of the biggest fishing ports in Finnmark County with around 10,000 boat arrivals each year. The village also has a number of facilities for fish processing. Båtsfjord Church
Båtsfjord Church () is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Båtsfjord Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. It is located in the village of Båtsfjord. It is the main church for the Båtsfjord parish which is part of the Varanger prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The modern, brick church was built in a long church style in 1971 using plans drawn up by the architect Hans Magnus. The church seats about 300 people.
