Broderipia
''Broderipia'' is a genus of sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the family Trochidae, the top snails. Description The shell is limpet-shaped, non-spiral, oblong-ovate and flattened. The shell is bilaterally symmetrical when adult. The apex is either subcentral or posterior, and either remaining as a minute recumbent spiral or lost in the adult shell. The ovate aperture is very large and internally brilliantly iridescent or almost deprived of nacre. Distribution The species of this marine genus occurs in the Red Sea, Gulf of Oman, Mauritius, New Caledonia, French Polynesia French Polynesia ( ; ; ) is an overseas collectivity of France and its sole #Governance, overseas country. It comprises 121 geographically dispersed islands and atolls stretching over more than in the Pacific Ocean, South Pacific Ocean. The t ... and in the Pacific Ocean. Broderipia Subiridescens
''Broderipia subiridescens'' is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Trochidae, the top snails. Description The height of the shell attains 6 mm, its diameter 4 mm. The shell is limpet-shaped. Its outline is oval. The apex nearly attains the posterior margin. In profile the posterior slope is very short and concave; the anterior is long and convex. It is highest near the apex. The surface of the shell is nearly smooth, with microscopic concentric growth lines. Its color is white, covered with a netted pattern of dots connected by lines of red. The minute apex is recumbent, spiral, and dextral. The tip is eroded. The inside is scarcely nacreous, the color pattern showing through. This is a shell smaller than '' Broderipia iridescens'', and more convex. The apex is nearer the posterior margin. The interior is scarcely pearly. The coloration and lack of granulation distinguish it from '' Broderipia cumingii''. Distribution This species occurs ...

Broderipia Iridescens
''Broderipia iridescens'' is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Trochidae, the top snails.Rosenberg, G. (2012). ''Broderipia iridescens''. Accessed through: World Register of Marine Species at http://www.marinespecies.org/aphia.php?p=taxdetails&id=594215 on 2012-11-23 Description The size of the shell varies between 8 mm and 10 mm. The shell is limpet-shaped, with oval outline and posterior apex. The margins are expanded. In profile it is very depressed, highest a little back of the middle, the slope from the apex upward short and concave, from the apex downward gently convex. The surface is lusterless, with scarcely visible growth striae. The shell is opaque-white, radiately striped with olive-bordered red lines, generally interrupted and forming a tessellated white and dark pattern. The apex is minute, recumbent, spiral, dextral. The inside of the shell is brilliantly iridescent, not showing the color pattern clearly except at the red-an ...

Broderipia Rosea
''Broderipia rosea'' is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Trochidae, the top snails. Description The height of the shell attains 4⅓ mm, its diameter 2½ mm. The shell is limpet-like, but with a recurved beak projecting beyond the posterior outline of the aperture. The shell is very convex, sloping convexly toward the front margin. The surface of the shell is lusterless, showing under a lens rather rude concentric growth lines, and very numerous, close, fine striae, radiating from the apex to the margins. The coloration consists of narrow red stripes obliquely descending from the median line to the borders, forming a series of V-shaped markings. The beak is rolled forward and a trifle inclined laterally, but the (dextral) apical whorl is lost. The aperture is oval. Its posterior margin is scarcely expanded. Its cavity is deep, scarcely perceptibly and nacreous. Distribution This species occurs in the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean and in the Pacific Oc ...
