Boston Uprising were an American professional Overwatch (video game)#Esports, ''Overwatch'' esports team based in Boston, Massachusetts. The team competed in the Overwatch League (OWL) as a member of the league's West region. Founded in 2017, Boston was one of the League's twelve founding teams. The team was owned by Robert Kraft of the Kraft Group, who also owns the National Football League's New England Patriots and Uprising Academy, an Overwatch Contenders#Academy teams, academy team for the Uprising that compete in Overwatch Contenders. Boston became the first team in Overwatch League history to go undefeated during a regular season stage, finishing in 2018 Overwatch League season#Stage 3, Stage 3 of the 2018 season. The Overwatch League (OWL) was a professional esports league for the video game ''Overwatch'', produced by its developer, Blizzard Entertainment. Kwon "Striker" Nam-joo
Kwon Nam-joo (), better known by his online alias Striker, is a South Korean professional ''Overwatch'' player. He began his ''Overwatch'' career playing for South Korean team ROX Orcas in Overwatch Apex. Kwon signed with the Boston Uprising ahead of the Overwatch League (OWL) inaugural season. After one season with the Uprising, Kwon was traded to the San Francisco Shock. In his time with the Shock, he won two Overwatch League championships, in 2019 and 2020, and was named the 2020 Grand Finals most valuable player. 2021 Overwatch League Season
The 2021 Overwatch League season was the fourth season of the Overwatch League (OWL), a professional esports league for the video game ''Overwatch''. The regular season began on April 16, 2021, and concluded on August 21. 2020 Overwatch League Season
The 2020 Overwatch League season is the third season of the Overwatch League (OWL), a professional esports league for the video game ''Overwatch (video game), Overwatch''. The regular season began on February 8, 2020, and concluded on August 23. It was the first season that the league implemented a city-based, home-and-away format, with teams traveling between the global home venues to play regular season matches, making the OWL the first major esports league to feature such a format. Noh Yeong-Jin (), better known as Gamsu, is a South Korean professional ''League of Legends'' player. He began his professional esports career with ''League of Legends'', playing as a top laner for several teams, such as Fnatic, Team Dignitas, and Samsung Galaxy Blue. Noh transitioned to professional ''Overwatch'' in 2016, competing for CONBOX in the OGN APEX Series. 2018 Overwatch League Playoffs
The 2018 Overwatch League playoffs began on July 11, after the 2018 Overwatch League regular season ended, and concluded on July 28 with the 2018 Grand Finals, the first championship match of the Overwatch League (OWL).
