Bolands
Bolans is a community on the south-western end of the island of Antigua, headtown of the Saint Mary Parish, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Mary's Parish. It was once an agrarian community but has slowly been transformed into a centre of tourist activity. There are those in the community who involve themselves in agricultural activity, more as an avenue of feeding themselves or adding some needed income. Bolans is home to the world-famous Jolly Beach Resort as well as Jolly Harbour Marina and Boatyard which provides a sheltered dockage with 24-hour security and a full-service boatyard. It had a population of 1,888 in 2001. Boland Lake
Boland Lake is an endorheic lake in geographic La Salle Township in the Unorganized North Part of Nipissing District in Northeastern Ontario, Canada. It is adjacent to (just east of) the La Salle Lakes and is about northeast of the railway point of Diver, on the Ontario Northland Railway. The lake has one, unnamed island. Access Boland Lake lies on the north side of a tertiary road that leads: from Diver northeast to the community of McLaren's Bay on Lake Timiskaming; or, via a subsequent branching tertiary road, southeast to Ontario Highway 63, at a point about halfway between that highway's crossing over the Jocko River and Lake Timiskaming. Boland, Western Cape
The Boland (, meaning "highland") is a region of the Western Cape province of South Africa, situated to the northeast of Cape Town in the middle and upper courses of the Berg and Breede Rivers, around the Boland Mountains of the central Cape Fold Belt. It is sometimes also referred to as the Cape Winelands because it is the primary region for the making of Western Cape wine. Geography Although the Boland does not have defined boundaries, its core lies around the Boland Mountains and the towns of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Worcester. Boland Cavaliers
The Boland Cavaliers () are a South African rugby union team that participates in the annual SA Cup and Currie Cup tournament. They draw players from the Cape Winelands District Municipality, Cape Winelands and West Coast District Municipality, West Coast districts of Western Cape Province, and play out of Wellington, Western Cape, Wellington at Boland Stadium. In October 2023 Boland announced a partnership with the Stellenbosch Academy of Sport and a consortium comprising companies controlled by South African billionaires Patrice Motsepe and Johann Rupert. Boland (cricket Team)
Boland is a first-class cricket team that nominally represents the Boland region, in the South African province of Western Cape, in the CSA Provincial Competitions. The team is selected and supported by the Boland Cricket Board (BCB) and plays its home games at Boland Park in Paarl. At organisational level, the BCB is responsible for the administration and development of cricket in the region and among its primary functions are management and promotion of the Boland team. The current BCB was founded in 1992 as a merger between the Boland Cricket Union and an earlier Boland Cricket Board. Boland's Bakery
Boland's Bakery was the largest bakery in Dublin in the late 19th century. It was founded by the Boland family. The company sold a number of products, such as bread, biscuits, cakes, confectionery and flour, although over the years biscuits became the company's main product. The original bakery was located close to Capel Street between Mary (Abbey) Street and Little Mary Street. The Boland family lived on Capel Street. Following the death of Patrick Boland (father of future MP and Olympic champion John Pius Boland), in 1888 the company was floated by the executor of his will Bishop Nicholas Donnelly, his brother in law. A number of members of the Boland family remained shareholders in the company. The company had a number of production facilities around the city such as the buildings around Grand Canal Dock including Boland's Mill as well as a distribution network. Boland's Mill
Boland's Mills is a mixed-use development in Dublin, Ireland, on Ringsend Road between the inner basin of Grand Canal Dock and Barrow Street. The site includes several 19th century warehouses originally associated with Boland's Bakery. After ceasing operation as a bakery in 2001, it passed through several hands before falling into control of the National Asset Management Agency (NAMA) following the 2008 financial crisis. NAMA initiated a €150 million reconstruction scheme to deliver new residences and commercial, retail, and civic spaces. The development was bought in 2018 by Google, which had a significant existing office footprint on and around Barrow Street.
