Beith Juniors F.C.
Beith Juniors Football Club are a Scottish football club from the town of Beith, North Ayrshire. Members of the Scottish Junior Football Association, they compete in the West of Scotland Football League. Beith play at Bellsdale Park. Their main rival is Kilbirnie Ladeside. History Formed in 1938, they play in black and white strips (uniforms) and their nicknames are ''the Cabes'' or ''the Mighty''. They were formed as a junior football successor to the disbanded senior side Beith, who had previously competed in the Scottish Football League. In the club's first season in 1939–40 they reached the District Cup Final and finished as runners up and then the second world war stopped football. In the 1940s the club were mostly a mid table club and reached the Ayrshire Cup final in 1948–49 but again finished as runners up. The SJFA West Region Championship (known as the McBookie.com West Region Championship for sponsorship reasons) was a Scottish semi-professional football competition run by the West Region of the Scottish Junior Football Association and was the second tier of league competition for its member clubs. Formerly known as the West of Scotland Super League First Division, the league began in 2002 when top sides from the former Ayrshire and Central Regions agreed to form two combined Super League divisions above the regional competitions. Originally comprising twelve clubs, it was expanded to fourteen after two years as promotion/relegation places were increased. The West of Scotland Junior Challenge Cup was an annual Scottish football competition played in a one-leg knockout format (played at 'home' team grounds as drawn, until the final at a neutral venue), organised by the West Region of the Scottish Junior Football Association. Shaun Dillon
Shaun Dillon (born 24 August 1984 in Greenock) is a Scottish football coach and former player, who played as a defender. He is currently coach of West of Scotland Football League club Beith Juniors. He began his career with Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League and also played in the Scottish Football League for Greenock Morton, Queen of the South, Stenhousemuir. Stranraer and Stirling Albion. Playing career Dillon began his career with Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League (SPL). He made an early impact, winning the SPL Young Player of the Month award for December 2002, but disciplinary and weight issues led to him losing his first team place. Mark Roberts (footballer, Born 1975)
Mark Roberts (born 29 October 1975 in Irvine) is a Scottish football player and coach. Roberts' playing career was mainly based in Scottish football, with spells at Kilmarnock, Falkirk, Airdrieonians, Partick Thistle, St Mirren, Airdrie United and Ayr United. He also had a spell at Shelbourne in the Republic of Ireland. In 2012, Roberts was appointed player/manager of Ayr United, a position he held until his departure from the club in 2014. He then had a stint as head coach of Queen's Park. Playing career Roberts spent his youth career with Bellfield Boys Club in Kilmarnock during the 1991–92 season. Carlo Monti (footballer)
Carlo Gordon Monti (born 10 July 1990) is a Scottish professional footballer, who plays for Beith Juniors in the West of Scotland League. He has previously played at Scottish Championship level for Greenock Morton and Dundee. Club career Monti started his career with Celtic, signing as a nine-year-old and working his way through the ranks to the Celtic first team squad where he was earmarked as an attacking wing-back by the late Tommy Burns. He left the club at 18 to sign for Greenock Morton in April 2009. Monti scored the first goal of his senior career with a 20-yard drive in the 2–1 defeat away at Dunfermline. He also scored the winning goal as Morton avoided relegation, at the same time relegating Ayr United, on 1 May 2010. Ricky Little (born 20 May 1989) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a defender for Beith Juniors in the West of Scotland Football League. Career Little began his youth career on the books of the Ayr United youth squad and Ardrossan Winton Rovers, and he captained Scotland schoolboys under-18s in season 2006–07. When he moved into the senior game, he featured on the subs bench for the Partick Thistle first team several times to cover for injury under Ian McCall. Little was sent on a month's loan to Queen's Park on 17 September 2008, as he was too old to play for the Firhill side's under 19 side. Lowland Football League
The Scottish Lowland Football League (SLFL, commonly known as the Lowland League) and the Park’s Motor Group Scottish Lowland League for sponsorship reasons is a senior football league based in central and southern Scotland.
