Baccano!
is a Japanese light novel series written by Ryohgo Narita and illustrated by Katsumi Enami. The series, told from multiple Narrative mode, points of view, is mostly set within a fictional United States across time most notably the Prohibition in the United States, Prohibition era. Its characters includes Alchemy, alchemists, thieves, thugs, American mafia, Mafiosi and Camorra, Camorristi, who are, at first, unconnected to one another. After an Elixir of life, immortality elixir is recreated in 1930 Manhattan, the characters begin to cross paths, setting off events that spiral further and further out of control. Ryōgo Narita
is a Japanese light novelist and manga writer. He won the Gold Prize in the 9th Dengeki Novel Prize for ''Baccano!'', which was made into an anime television series in 2007. His series ''Durarara!!'' was also made into two anime television series, one airing January 2010 and the second in January 2015. Works Narita's works all feature a single thematic style, involving an ensemble cast of characters (each with their own viewpoint chapters) finding their lives intersecting with each other in various ways due to a supernatural entity, and more often than not getting into conflict with each other. Dengeki Comic Gao!
, also known as ''Dengeki Gao!'' was a Japanese shōnen manga magazine that primarily contained manga and information about series featuring bishōjo characters. It was published from December 1992 to February 2008 by MediaWorks. The ''Gao'' in the magazine's title is a childish form of the sound ''Grr''. Many manga serialized in ''Dengeki Comic Gao!'' were adapted from light novels published under MediaWorks' ''Dengeki Bunko'' label. The magazine was sold every month on the twenty-seventh. When ''Dengeki Comic Gao!'' was first published, many of the manga that ran in the magazine had transferred from Kadokawa Shoten's ''Comic Comp'' magazine, though many of the titles were slightly altered. This caused the readers of ''Comic Comp'' to become interested in ''Dengeki Comic Gao!'' and in October 1994, ''Comic Comp'' ceased publication. Yen Press is an American manga, graphic novel and light novel publisher co-owned by Kadokawa Corporation and Hachette Book Group. It published '' Yen Plus'', a monthly comic anthology, between 2008 and 2013. In addition to translated material, Yen Press has published original series, most notably Svetlana Chmakova's '' Nightschool'' and a manga adaptation of James Patterson's ''Maximum Ride''. is a publishing imprint (trade name), imprint affiliated with the Japanese publishing company ASCII Media Works (a division of Kadokawa Future Publishing formerly called MediaWorks (publisher), MediaWorks).
