BWF Grand Prix Gold And Grand Prix
The BWF Grand Prix Gold and Grand Prix was a series of badminton tournaments sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF) which was run from 2007 to 2017. Features Prize money A Grand Prix Gold tournament offered minimum prize money of United States dollar, US$120,000, while a Grand Prix tournament offered minimum prize money of US$50,000. The formula of prize money distribution was identical to BWF Super Series#Prize money, Super Series tournament. World Ranking points The BWF Grand Prix Gold and Grand Prix series offered third only to BWF tournaments (after BWF events and Super Series), according to World Ranking system. Badminton World Federation
The Badminton World Federation, aka BWF, is the international governing body for the sport of badminton approved by the International Olympic Committee. It was founded on 5 July 1934 as the International Badminton Federation with nine member nations: Canada, Denmark, England, France, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland and Wales. In 1981, the IBF merged with the World Badminton Federation, and on 24 September 2006, at the Extraordinary General Meeting in Madrid, the name of the organization was changed to Badminton World Federation. When the BWF was founded, its head office was located in Cheltenham, UK. It was then relocated to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on October 1, 2005. The Korea Masters () is an international badminton tournament that usually held in November or December every year of BWF event calendar in South Korea. The total prize money in 2016 was US$120,000. Before 2010, the level of the tournament was an International Challenge, which is the fourth level tournament of international badminton tournament. The Indonesia Masters is an international badminton tournament in BWF World Tour Super 500. Formerly known as the Indonesia Open Grand Prix Gold, it was first held in 2010 in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, and change its venue in different cities every year. German Open (badminton)
The German Open is an annual badminton tournament held in Germany since 1955 (as West Germany) and organized by German Badminton Association or Deutscher Badminton Verband (DBV). The tournaments were not held in the year 1970, 1979 and 1998. Known as German Badminton Championships until 1980, the tournament was later allowed to be known as Open Championships from 1981 on.
