BIBL Seasons
The Balkan International Basketball League (BIBL), also known as the Balkan League and as the Delasport BIBL Balkan League for sponsorship reasons, is a multinational professional basketball league featuring clubs primarily from the Balkans. The league includes teams from countries such as Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Cyprus, and Israel. The most recent league champion is Sigal Prishtina from Kosovo. The purpose of the Balkan International Basketball League is to provide competitive international play for clubs in the Balkans that might otherwise be unable to participate in international basketball. The league achieves this by providing financial support to all participating clubs to offset the costs associated with international competition. Notably, the league is also the first international league of its kind to include teams from Kosovo. Samokov
Samokov ( ) List of cities and towns in Bulgaria, is a town in Sofia Province in the southwest of Bulgaria. 2011–12 BIBL Season
In the fourth season of the Balkan International Basketball League, twelve participants from the Republic of Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the new represented country Israel has competed. Teams Format Regular season In the regular season the teams will be divided into two groups, each containing six teams. Each team plays every other team in its group at home and away. The two teams that finished at the top of their group advance to the final four. The teams that finish second and third in their group advance to the quarterfinals. The opening game has been played on October 11, 2011 and the last match day will be played on March 7, 2012. Kavadarci
Kavadarci ( ) is a town in the Tikveš region of North Macedonia. In the heart of North Macedonia's wine country, it is home to the largest winery in Southeast Europe, named after the Tikveš plain.
