Awakening Music (previously known as Awakening Records) is an England-based music production company. It was created in 2000 by four entrepreneurs from England and the United States. Hamza Robertson
Hamza Robertson (; born Tom Robertson) is an English singer who is signed to and managed by Andante Records. Early life Tom Robertson was born in Chadderton, Greater Manchester, England, he was brought up in a Christian family environment. From an early age, he involved himself in music and the performing arts. He was a part of the local theatre workshop, where he wrote music and acted in plays. He took part in bands beyond college, playing instruments and writing music. He studied performing arts and popular music for three years until the age of 20. Career In 2003, at the age of 21, Robertson converted to Islam and adopted the name Hamza. Raef (singer)
Raef Haggag (; born August 8, 1982) is an Egyptian-American singer. Beginnings Raef picked up playing guitar during his time at the University of Maryland, College Park where he studied computer science. After graduation, Raef worked briefly as a software engineer before leaving to teach high school for eight years. As he says: "I decided to switch careers from a software eng. to a high school teacher because I wanted to help others in a more direct way (and because it was pretty boring sitting in front of a computer for 8 hours a day)". Raef taught computer programming in Montgomery County Public Schools.
