Astro Shaw Sdn Bhd (stylised as astro SHAW) is a Malaysian film studio that has produced films for the local and regional markets and is pursuing expansion into international film investments. It also provides a marketing and distribution services for theatrical and non-theatrical release in Malaysia and abroad. Astro Shaw has produced 5 of the top 10 highest grossing local films of all time in Malaysia. Astro Shaw's production ''Hantu Kak Limah'' was the first local film to achieve a box office collection of over RM30 million. In 2018, Astro Shaw achieved a box office collection of over RM100 million with the combination of films such as ''Dukun (film), Dukun, PASKAL: The Movie, Paskal, Hantu Kak Limah'' and ''Polis Evo 2''. ''Ola Bola'' is a 2016 Malaysian Malay-language sport drama film directed by Chiu Keng Guan starring JC Chee, Luqman Hafidz, Saran Kumar, Marianne Tan, Katrina Ho, Frankie Lee and Bront Palarae. Malaysia Film Festival (FFM; ) is an annual awards ceremony organized by the ''Entertainment Journalists Association of Malaysia'' to honour excellence in Malaysian film. It is considered to be Malaysia's own equivalent to the Academy Awards and it is one of the major entertainment awards presented in Malaysia, alongside the Anugerah Bintang Popular for the entire entertainment industry (similar to the Anugerah Skrin) and Anugerah Industri Muzik for the music industry. ''Vedigundu Pasangge'' is a 2018 Malaysian Tamil language crime comedy film. ''Maindhan'' () is a 2014 Tamil-language Malaysian action comedy film directed by C. Kumaresan, who also enacted the lead role.
