Andover, Tasmania
Andover is a rural locality in the local government area (LGA) of Southern Midlands Council, Southern Midlands in the Central LGA Region, Central LGA region of Tasmania. The locality is about east of the town of Oatlands, Tasmania, Oatlands. The 2021 Australian census, 2021 census recorded a population of 39 for Andover. It consists of mostly farming land and several historic pastoral properties. Andover covers an area of 73.446 square kilometres. History Andover was gazetted as a locality in 1974. Eastern Marshes Siding Post Office opened in 1888, and was renamed Andover in 1893. It closed in 1966. It was historically a village on the Little Swan River, in the Somerset Land District, county of Somerset, Tasmania about 62 km (50 miles) from Hobart. Andover Township, New Jersey
Andover Township is a Township (New Jersey), township in Sussex County, New Jersey, Sussex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 5,996, a decrease of 323 (−5.1%) from the 2010 United States census, 2010 census count of 6,319, which in turn reflected an increase of 286 (+4.7%) from the 6,033 counted in the 2000 United States census, 2000 census. Andover was incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 11, 1864, from portions of Newton Township, Sussex County, New Jersey, Newton Township, which was split up on that date and dissolved. Portions of the township were taken to form Fredon Township, New Jersey, Fredon Township (February 24, 1904) and Andover, New Jersey, Andover borough (March 25, 1904).
