The American Outlaws (abbreviation: AO) are an unofficial supporters' group for the United States men's national soccer team and United States women's national soccer team and have been described as "a raucous group of U.S. supporters" by ESPN. Founded in 2007 by a group of fans from Lincoln, Nebraska, the group set out to "unite and strengthen" supporters at United States national soccer team games. Their first appearance was at an international friendly between Brazil and the United States at Soldier Field in Chicago on September 9, 2007, and they are now found at every men's and women's national team games. The group can be readily identified by their red membership shirts and American flag bandanas. At games, they are most often located as a group in the seats behind one of the goals. ''American Outlaws'' is a 2001 American Western action film directed by Les Mayfield and starring Colin Farrell, Scott Caan, and Ali Larter. Plot Confederate guerillas attempt to raid a Union Army camp late in the American Civil War. The guerillas are ambushed, but thanks to the sharp-shooting of Frank James and the distractions of his brother Jesse they survive.
