Alaska Range
The Alaska Range is a relatively narrow, mountain range in the Southcentral Alaska, southcentral region of the U.S. state of Alaska, from Lake Clark at its southwest endSources differ as to the exact delineation of the Alaska Range. ThBoard on Geographic Namesentry is inconsistent; part of it designates Iliamna Lake as the southwestern end, and part of the entry has the range ending at the Telaquana and Neacola Rivers. Cantwell Glacier
Cantwell Glacier is a glacier in Denali National Park and Preserve in the U.S. state of Alaska. The long glacier originates from the crest of the Alaska Range in the eastern part of the park, giving rise to Cantwell Creek. Tokositna Glacier
Tokositna Glacier is a glacier in the Alaska Range of Denali National Park and Preserve in the U.S. state of Alaska. The glacier originates in two major arms on the east side of Mount Hunter, moving east until the main arms join, then turning south. Tokositna Glacier is the source of the Tokositna River. Spelling variants and alternate names include Tokasitna Glacier, Tokichitna Glacier and Tuqashitnu Li'a. Its thickness has been monitored by the National Park Service, which found consistent thinning since the 1990s. Ruth Glacier
Ruth Glacier is a glacier in Denali National Park and Preserve in the U.S. state of Alaska. Its upper reaches are approximately 3 vertical miles below the summit of Denali. The glacier's "Great Gorge" is one mile wide, and drops almost over , with crevasses along the surface. Above the surface on both sides are granite cliffs. From the top of the cliffs to the bottom of the glacier is a height exceeding that of the Grand Canyon. Ruth Glacier moves at a rate of per day and was measured to be thick in 1983. Surrounding the Ruth Gorge are many mountains of the Alaska Range, including the Mooses Tooth, Mount Dickey, Mount Bradley, Mount Wake, Mount Johnson, and London Tower with highly technical ice and rock climbs on their faces. Eldridge Glacier
Eldridge Glacier is a major glacier in Denali National Park and Preserve in the U.S. state of Alaska. The long glacier originates on the east side of Explorers Peak, flowing northeast to a basin below Mount Eldridge, gathering flow from several glaciated cirques, then flowing southeast to the valley of the Chulitna River, where it gives rise to the Fountain River. Muldrow Glacier
Muldrow Glacier, also known as McKinley Glacier, is a large glacier in Denali National Park and Preserve in the U.S. state of Alaska. Native names for the glacier include, Henteel No' Loo' and Henteel No' Loot. The glacier originates from the Great Icefall of Harper Glacier on the eastern side of Denali. The glacier moves generally eastward, receiving Traleika Glacier and Brooks Glacier as tributaries, then turning northward to emerge from the Alaska Range as the source of the McKinley River. Muldrow Glacier was renamed by Alfred Hulse Brooks in 1902 in honor of U.S. Geological Survey topographer Robert Muldrow. In 2021, the glacier was noted to be growing in a surge that greatly exceeds the scant previous records of its status. Susitna Glacier
Susitna Glacier is an alpine or valley glacier in the Alaska Range. Susitna Glacier flows over a seismically active area. The 7.9-magnitude 2002 Denali earthquake struck the region in November 2002.
