Al-Riyadh SC Players
Riyadh F.C. or Al-Riyadh () is a professional football club based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It currently plays in the Saudi Pro League (the first tier of professional football in Saudi Arabia). It was established in 1953 as Ahli Al-Riyadh, then changed its name to Al-Yamamah and finally to Al-Riyadh. Best known for its football team, Al-Riyadh also have squads in other sports. Al-Riyadh have won one major title: the Crown Prince Cup in 1994. The team also finished as runners-up in the Saudi Premier League in 1994; they have never won the top league. Al-Riyadh was promoted to the Saudi Pro League in 2023. History Early history The club was founded in 1953 under the name "Ahli Al-Riyadh", before changing to "Al-Yamama" and then to "Al-Riyadh." The Saudi First Division League (), currently known as the Yelo League for sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of professional football in Saudi Arabia. It ranks below the Saudi Pro League and above the Saudi Second Division League in the Saudi Arabian football league system. Nawaf Shaker Fayrouz Al-Abed (; born 26 January 1990) is a Saudi Arabian professional association football, footballer who plays as a winger for Al-Riyadh SC, Al-Riyadh. Club career Al-Hilal In 2009, Al-Hilal signed in Al-Abed from their youth academy. Mohammed Al-Aqel
Mohammed Al-Aqel (; born 7 February 2000) is a Saudi Arabian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Al-Riyadh. Club career Al-Aqel started his career at Al-Lewaa before moving to Al-Tai in 2018. He made his first-team debut during the 2019–20 season. He scored his first goal for the club on 7 January 2020 in the 2–1 win against Al-Taqadom. He made 21 appearances and scored twice in his first season at the club. Saud Zidan (, born 6 November 1999) is a Saudi Arabian professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Midfielder (association football), midfielder for Al-Riyadh SC, Al-Riyadh. Yoann Barbet (born 10 May 1993) is a French professional footballer who plays for Al-Riyadh as a centre-back and left-back. A product of the Bordeaux youth system, he signed his first professional contract with Chamois Niortais ahead of the 2014–15 season. Vincent Angelini (born 12 September 2003) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Saudi Pro League club Al-Riyadh. The 1996 Arab Super Cup was an international club competition played by the winners and runners up of the Arab Club Champions Cup and Arab Cup Winners' Cup. It was the third edition of the tournament to be played. Espérance de Tunis were crowned champions, with Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Riyadh runner up. Prince Faisal Cup
The Prince Faisal bin Fahd Cup, formerly known as the Saudi Federation Cup, was an association football competition organized by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. History The competition was founded in the 1975–76 season, with Al-Nassr as the first champion. Initially, it was for senior teams, but the rules were later changed to allow only players under 23 years of age. However, after a few years and a lack of spectator interest, the competition was reopened to players of all ages. In 2000, the name of the competition was changed from saudi federation Cup to its current title, a decision made to commemorate the late Prince Faisal bin Fahd. The 2009-10 edition was the final tournament for first teams. It was then changed to an Under-21 competition, counting for youth teams rather than the first team.
