Al-Markhiya Sports Club () is a Qatari multi-sports club, based in the Al Markhiya district of Doha. Its football (soccer), football department plays in the Qatar Stars League. It was widely regarded as the fastest improving team due to it winning the Second Division league 4 times in the first 5 it has taken part of. It has also entered history by being the first second division club to be promoted to the Qatar Stars League. The club was founded in 1995 as Al-Ittifaq, but was renamed to Al-Markhiya in 2004 to better represent the district where it is located. Al-Markhiya Stadium is a football (soccer), football stadium in the Al Markhiya district of Doha, Qatar. The football team Al-Markhiya Sports Club, Al-Markhiya SC play there. Built in 1995, the Al-Markhiya Stadium covers and features a football pitch with a capacity for 200 people, locker rooms and an administrative office. Location Al-Markhiya Stadium is accessible via public transportation. The nearest bus stop is on Qurtuba Street, approximately a 25-minute walk from the stadium. The closest metro station is the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), about a 30-minute walk away. Bus lines L519 and T607 serve the area, and the M1 metro line stops near the DECC station. Krasimir Miloshev
Krasimir Krasimirov Miloshev (; born 5 April 2000) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who plays for Al-Markhiya as a midfielder. Club career At age of 7, Miloshev started playing handball. He kept playing handball until 2013, but switched to football since he saw bigger prospect. He started his career as a goalkeeper in Obelya Sofia and then moved to Lokomotiv Sofia where he switched to a field position. He was promoted to the first team in 2016 when he was 16 years old. Ali Al-Marri
Ali ibn Abi Talib (; ) was the fourth Rashidun caliph who ruled from until his assassination in 661, as well as the first Shia Imam. He was the cousin and son-in-law of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Mouhamadou-Naby Sarr (born 13 August 1993) is a French professional footballer who plays as centre back for Al-Markhiya. Al-Khor Sports Club () is a Qatari professional sports club based in the city of Al Khor. Al-Khor SC is best known for its football team, which competes in the Qatar Stars League from the 2024-25 season again after a short absence of 2 years in Qatari Second Division.
