Minsk (, ; , ) is the capital and largest city of Belarus, located on the Svislach (Berezina), Svislach and the now subterranean Nyamiha, Niamiha rivers. Luninets (air Base)
Luninets is a reserve air base of the Air Force and Air Defence Forces of the Republic of Belarus located in Luninets, Brest Region. The airfield was a fighter-bomber training area during the Cold War. It was home to the 1169th BRAT (1169th Aviation Equipment Reserve Base) flying Mil Mi-8 and Mil Mi-24 helicopters. Luninets
Luninyets or Luninets is a town in Brest Region, Belarus. It serves as the administrative center of Luninyets District. As of 2025, it has a population of 23,469. It is home to Luninets air base. History Luninyets is said to be mentioned in print sources dating to 1540. Within the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, it was part of Nowogródek Voivodeship. In 1793, the town was acquired by the Russian Empire in the course of the Second Partition of Poland. In 1888, while under Russian sovereignty, a railway junction was built in Luninyets, linking it by rail to Warsaw, Rivne, Vilna and Gomel, and a proper railroad station was added in 1905. Łuniniec became part of the Second Polish Republic in 1921 following the Polish-Soviet War. It was a county seat within the Polesie Voivodeship. Pribytki
Zyabrovka (also Pribytki) is a military air base located 16 km southeast of Gomel, Gomel Region, Belarus. From November 1951 to July 1957 the 50th Air Army of Long-Range Aviation included the 144th Fighter Aviation Division with its headquarters at Mogilev, Mogilev Oblast, Belorussian SSR. The division's 439th Fighter Aviation Regiment was flying MiG-15s and MiG-17s during that period from Zyabrovka. The regiment disbanded on 1 April 1958. By the early 1960s Tupolev Tu-16R aircraft were flying from the base. The airfield was renovated in 1963. It received the Tu-22R around 1966, and by 1967 had 24 based there. Pribytki was one of nine major operating locations for the Tupolev Tu-22 Blinder in the mid-1960s. The reconnaissance aircraft were tasked with operations in the Baltic and northern Europe. Vitebsk or Vitsyebsk (, ; , ; ) is a city in northern Belarus. It serves as the administrative center of Vitebsk Region and Vitebsk District, though it is administratively separated from the district. As of 2025, it has 358,927 inhabitants, making it the country's fourth-largest city. It is served by Vitebsk Vostochny Airport and Vitebsk Air Base. Polotsk () or Polatsk () is a town in Vitebsk Region, Belarus. It is situated on the Dvina River and serves as the administrative center of Polotsk District. Mogilev Airport
Mahilyow (Mogilev) International Airport (; ) is an airport that serves Mogilev, Belarus. History The history of Mogilev Airport dates back to 1946. Its original location was near the village of Lupolovo, close to Mogilev. The first passenger flights within the region began in 1961. Mogilev was connected by air to district centers and major cities of the Soviet Union. In 1972, the history of Mogilev Airport began at a new location, 17 km from Mogilev, near the village of Lubnishche. In the early 1990s, there was a significant decline in aviation activities due to the collapse of the USSR. In 1995, the state enterprise Mogilev Airport (Mogilevavia) was established.
