Ahmadu Bello University
The Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) is a public research university located in Zaria, Nigeria, Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria. It was opened in 1962 as the University of Northern Nigeria. The university has four colleges, three schools, 18 faculties, 110 academic departments, 17 centres, and seven institutes with over 600 professors, about 3000 academic staff and over 7000 non-teaching staff. The university has over 400 postgraduate programmes reflecting its strife to become a postgraduate studies-centred university. Andrew Yakubu
Andrew Laah Yakubu (born 10 September 1955) is a former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. He was given the appointment by President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in 2012. He and the management team were relieved of their appointments to strengthen the on-going reforms in NNPC by ex-President Goodluck Jonathan in July 2014 and Joseph Dawha was named as his successor in August 2014. Adetoye Oyetola Sode
Adetoye Oyetola Sode is a retired Rear Admiral of the Nigerian Navy and the Military Administrator of Oyo State, Nigeria from December 1993 to September 1994 during the military regime of General Sani Abacha. Sode gained a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He became a member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers, and worked in the Federal Ministry of Mines and Power before enlisting in the Nigerian Navy. He attended the Royal Naval Engineering College, Manadon, Plymouth, England for a course in Marine Engineering, then served as Engineering Officer in various naval vessels and also commanded the Naval Shipyard in Port Harcourt. Nigerian Academy Of Science
The Nigerian Academy of Science is the official science academy of Nigeria. The academy of science was established on 18 January 1977, as an association of Nigeria's foremost scientists, but incorporated in 1986. It is the apex scientific organization in Nigeria. The Academy acts as a scientific advisor to the Federal Government of Nigeria, funds research fellowships, and scientific start-up companies. Andrew Jonathan Nok
Andrew Jonathan Nok, NNOM (11 February 1962 – 21 November 2017) was a Nigerian Professor of Biochemistry and the Public Affairs Secretary of the Nigerian Academy of Science. In 2010 he was a recipient of the Nigerian National Order of Merit Award (NNOM), in the Science category and in 2013 he won the Alexander Humboldt Prize. He died on 21 November 2017 after a brief illness. Early life Nok was born on 11 February 1962 in Kaduna State, Northern Nigeria. Adamu Muhammad Sidi-Ali (born 14 May 1952) is a Nigerian politician and farmer. He has run successfully for the offices of Chairman (Abaji Area council) and for the House of Representatives beginning in the early 2000s. Abdullahi Mustapha
Abdullahi Mustapha (born 1 February 1948) is a Nigerian Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and former Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He was succeeded by Ibrahim Garba as the VC of the University. He is currently the Director General of the National Biotechnology Research and Development Agency (NBRDA) in Nigeria.
