David Acer (; born 27 February 1970) is a Canadian author, stand-up comedian, close-up illusionist, inventor of magic tricks, and co-host/co-writer of the syndicated television series Mystery Hunters. His writing on the Canadian documentary series '' Mystery Hunters'' earned him two Gemini Awards nominations (the Canadian equivalent of the Emmys) for Best Writing in a Children's Non-Fiction series (2005 and 2007), and he wrote a book based on his segments on the series called ''Gotcha! 18 Amazing Ways to Freak Out Your Friends'', published by Kids Can Press in 2008. ''Gotcha!'' was a Canadian best-seller and was nominated for two children's book awards, a Willow Award and a Hackmatack Children's Choice Award, and won the Hackmatack award in 2008/2009. David John Haskins (born 24 April 1957, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England), better known as David J, is a British alternative rock musician, producer, and writer. He is the bassist for the gothic rock band Bauhaus (band), Bauhaus and for Love and Rockets (band), Love and Rockets. He has composed the scores for a number of plays and films, and also wrote and directed his own plays, ''Silver for Gold (The Odyssey of Edie Sedgwick)'', in 2008, which was restaged at REDCAT in Los Angeles in 2011, and ''The Chanteuse and The Devil's Muse'' in 2011. Ebru Acer (born 27 June 2002) is a Turkish European champion para table tennis player competing in the C11 disability class. Acer is the first ever Turkish para table tennis player to become a Paralympian. She participated at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris, France, and won a bronze medal. Sport career Acer started para table tennis playing with her family's encouragement in 2017. The Armored Combat Engineer Robot (ACER) is a military robot created by Mesa Robotics. Roughly the size of a small bulldozer and weighing 2.25 tons, ACER is among the larger military robots.
