Abacha Town Location and Geography Abacha is a town situated in the southeastern region of Nigeria, within the Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State. It shares borders with the towns of Abatete, Nimo, Oraukwu, and Eziowelle, making it one of the ten communities in Idemili North. Abacha also falls within the Anambra Central Senatorial Zone. The town’s population predominantly consists of Igbo-speaking people, who belong to the larger Igbo ethnic group of eastern Nigeria. Administrative Divisions Abacha comprises five recognised villages: # Umudisi # Umuazu # Umuokpolonwu # Umuekpeli # Ugwuma The village of Umuokpolonwu is further subdivided into two smaller communities: Umunneora and Umuaribo. Each village within Abacha maintains its unique customs and traditions, but together they contribute to the collective identity and governance of Abacha town. Chinwoke Mbadinuju
Chinwoke Mbadinuju (14 June 1945 – 11 April 2023) was a Nigerian politician who served as List of Governors of Anambra State, governor of Anambra State in Nigeria from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2003. He was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (Nigeria), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and served only a single term. Early life, education and career Mbadinuju was born on 14 June 1945. He earned a BA in political science and a doctorate in government. He also earned a law degree from an English university. He was an editor of the then ''Times International,'' a member of the Daily Times group. Before entering politics, Mbadinuju was an associate professor of politics and African studies at the State University of New York. Willie Obiano
Willie Obiano (born August 8, 1955) is a Nigerian politician, banker and technocrat. He was the 4th Governor of Anambra State from 17 March 2014 to 17 March 2022. Early life Governor Obiano was born at Aguleri, a town in Anambra State, Eastern Nigeria. He received a bachelor's degree in Accountancy from the University of Lagos in 1979 and a Master of Business Administration from the same university. Banking career Governor Obiano began his banking career in 1981 at the First Bank of Nigeria before he left to join the service of Chevron Oil Nigeria Plc as an accountant and rose to the position of Chief Internal Auditor. In 1989, he was one of the auditors that audited Texaco Refinery in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
