ASJ Soyaux-Charente
ASJ Soyaux Charente (''Association Sportive Jeunesse de Soyaux Charente''), commonly known as Soyaux, is a women's association football, football club founded in 1968 in association football, 1968 and based in Soyaux, France. The club had played in France's top division except for spans of relegation to Division 2 Féminine in the 2010–11 and 2012–13 seasons, winning promotion back to the top flight each time. It also successfully appealed attempts by DNCG to relegate the club due to failed administrative reviews of its finances in both 2021 and 2022. History The club was founded in 1968 as ''AS Soyaux''. In 1982, the club changed its name to ''Association Sportive Jeunesse de Soyaux Charente''. Corinne Diacre
Corinne Catherine Diacre (born 4 August 1974) is a French professional football manager and former player who played as a defender. She played her entire club career with Soyaux in the Division 1. She was also an international player with the France national team from 1993 to 2005, captaining the team for much of that period. In August 2014, she became the first woman to coach a men's professional football team ( Clermont) in a competitive match in France. Diacre continued to manage Clermont for three seasons until taking up the position as head coach of the French women's national team, a job she lost in March 2023. Hawa Cissoko (born 10 April 1997) is a French professional footballer who plays as a defender for Serie A club AS Roma and the France national team. She also holds Malian citizenship.
