The 2024 season was the 112th season of competitive soccer in the United States. The season began with friendlies for the United States men's national soccer team, USMNT and United States women's national soccer team, USWNT in January and February. The USMNT competed in the 2023–24 CONCACAF Nations League, winning for the third straight time, and also competed as the host of the 2024 Copa América. The USWNT competed in the inaugural 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup, becoming the first champions of the cup. At the international level, qualifying MLS clubs competed in the 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup, and qualifying NWSL clubs are competing in the inaugural 2024–25 CONCACAF W Champions Cup. MLS Cup 2024 was the 29th edition of the MLS Cup, the championship match of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top-flight association football, soccer league in the United States and Canada. The match was played on December 7, 2024, at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, United States. It was contested by the Western Conference (MLS), Western Conference champions LA Galaxy and the Eastern Conference (MLS), Eastern Conference champions New York Red Bulls and determined the champions of the 2024 Major League Soccer season, 2024 season. The match also marked the conclusion of the 2024 MLS Cup playoffs, MLS Cup playoffs, which was contested by the top 18 teams based on their regular season records. 2023–24 CONCACAF Nations League
The 2023–24 CONCACAF Nations League was the third season of the CONCACAF Nations League, an international association football competition involving the men's national teams of the 41 member associations of CONCACAF. The group stage was held in September, October, and November 2023, and the Finals were played from 21 to 24 March 2024 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The competition saw a format change, with League A now featuring sixteen teams and a quarter-final round. In addition, the Nations League also served as qualification for CONCACAF teams for the 2024 Copa América, which is being held between June and July of this year in the United States. 2024 NWSL Challenge Cup
The 2024 NWSL Challenge Cup, known as the 2024 UKG NWSL Challenge Cup for sponsorship reasons, was the fifth edition of the NWSL Challenge Cup, a women's soccer competition organized by the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). The match was the first Challenge Cup to be played in the super cup format as a one-off game, contested by the winners of the previous season's NWSL Championship and NWSL Shield. 2024 National Women's Open
4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Santa Clarita Blue Heat is an American women's soccer team based in Santa Clarita, California, a suburb of Los Angeles. California Storm is an American women's soccer team, founded in 1995 as the Sacramento Storm, before changing its name the following season. The team is a member of the Women's Premier Soccer League and the USL W League, both semi-professional women's leagues in the United States. The team plays in the North Division of the Pacific Conference in the WPSL and in the NorCal Division for the USL W League.
