Wes Moore
Westley Watende Omari Moore (born October 15, 1978) is an American politician, businessman, author, and former U.S. Army officer serving as the 63rd governor of Maryland since 2023. Moore was born in Maryland and raised primarily in New York. He graduated from Johns Hopkins University and received a master's degree from Wolfson College, Oxford, as a Rhodes Scholar. After several years in the United States Army, U.S. Army and United States Army Reserve, Army Reserve, he became an investment banker in New York. Between 2010 and 2015, Moore published five books, including a young-adult novel. He served as CEO of the Robin Hood Foundation from 2017 to 2021. 2023 Baltimore Shooting
On July 2, 2023, a mass shooting occurred in the Brooklyn, Baltimore, Brooklyn neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland, United States, during a Brooklyn Day celebration. Two people were killed and 28 were injured according to police. It is the largest shooting incident in the city's history. Incident The incident occurred in the Brooklyn Homes area located in the southern part of Baltimore at around 12:35 a.m. Eastern Time Zone, EDT.
