National Democratic Alliance
The National Democratic Alliance (NDA; ISO 15919, ISO: ''Rāṣṭrīya Lokatāntrik Gaṭhabandhan'') is an Indian big tent Political group, multi-party political alliance, led by the country's biggest political party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). It was founded on 15 May 1998. Neiphiu Rio
Neiphiu Guolhoulie Rio (born 11 November 1950) is an Indian politician who is serving as the 9th and current Chief Minister of Nagaland since 2018, previously 2003 to 2014 and from 2018 till date. He is the only Nagaland Chief Minister to have served five consecutive terms, and is the longest serving Chief Minister of Nagaland. He was also a Member of Parliament from Nagaland in Lok Sabha from 2014 to 2018. Early life and education Neiphiu Guolhoulie Rio was born on 11 November 1950 to an Angami Naga family from Tuophema. Vishnu Deo Sai (born 21 February 1964) is an Indian politician currently serving as the 4th Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. He is the first senior tribal leader in Central India. 2023 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Election
Legislative Assembly elections were held in Chhattisgarh in two phases on 2023 elections in India, 7 November and 17 November 2023 to elect all List of constituencies of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, 90 members of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. The votes were counted and the results declared on 3 December 2023. Defying all pollsters and predictions, the BJP won an absolute majority with 54 seats, wresting power from the Indian National Congress, INC, which had won a landslide in 2018 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly election, 2018 but could win only 35 seats. Lalduhoma (alternatively spelled Lalduhawma; born 22 February 1949) is an Indian politician who serves as the 6th Chief Minister of Mizoram since 8 December 2023. Formerly an Indian Police Service officer, he resigned from the security service to the Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, and was elected as Member of Parliament to the Lok Sabha from Mizoram and President of the Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee (a branch of the Indian National Congress) in 1984. He however left the party from which he was elected two years later, for which he was disqualified from the Parliament. Zoramthanga (born 13 July 1944) is an Indian politician and former Chief Minister of Mizoram from 1998 to 2008 and 2018 to 2023. He is also the president of Mizo National Front (MNF) party. He represents the Aizawl East I constituency in the Mizoram Legislative Assembly since 2018 and Champhai constituency from 1998 to 2008. He was second-in-command to Laldenga during the Mizo National Front uprising, secession movement of Mizo National Front, and became the successor as the party leader, after MNF was a recognised political party, following the death of Laldenga in 1990. 2023 Mizoram Legislative Assembly Election
Legislative Assembly elections were held in Mizoram on 7 November 2023 to elect all 40 members of Mizoram Legislative Assembly, which had 174 candidates and saw 80.66% voter turnout. The votes were counted on 4 December 2023 which showed the Zoram People's Movement's victory winning 27 seats out of 40. Background The tenure of Mizoram Legislative Assembly is scheduled to end on 17 December 2023. The previous assembly elections were held in November 2018. After the election, Mizo National Front formed the state government, with Zoramthanga becoming Chief Minister.
