2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series
The 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series was the 41st season of the NASCAR Xfinity Series, a stock car racing series sanctioned by NASCAR in the United States. The season started with the Daytona 300, Beef. It's What's for Dinner. 300 on February 19 at Daytona International Speedway and ended with the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship Race on November 5 at Phoenix Raceway. Daniel Hemric entered the season as the defending champion and attempted to become the second driver in series history to win back-to-back championships driving for two different teams. (The first was Tyler Reddick in 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series, 2018 and 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series, 2019, who drove for JR Motorsports and Richard Childress Racing in those years respectively.) The NASCAR Xfinity Series Drivers' Championship is awarded by the chairman in NASCAR to the most successful Xfinity Series racing car driver over a season, as determined by a NASCAR rules and regulations#Championship points system, points system based on race results. Daniel Hemric
Daniel Brian Hemric (born January 27, 1991) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 19 Chevrolet Silverado RST for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series West, driving the No. 19 Chevrolet SS for the Bill McAnally Racing. After beginning his career in short-track racing, Hemric moved up to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and raced full-time in the series in 2015 and 2016 for Brad Keselowski Racing. He ran two full seasons in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Richard Childress Racing, reaching the Championship Round of the NASCAR playoffs in both years, before competing in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series for the team in 2019. The 2022 Alsco Uniforms 302 was the 30th stock car race of the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series, the first race of the Round of 8, and the 5th iteration of the event. The race was held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, in North Las Vegas, Nevada at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, a permanent tri-oval shaped racetrack. The race took the scheduled 201 laps to complete. The 2022 Food City 300 was the 26th Stock car racing, stock car race of the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series, the final race of the regular season, and the 41st iteration of the Food City 300, event. The race was held on Friday, September 16, 2022, in Bristol, Tennessee at Bristol Motor Speedway, a permanent oval-shaped racetrack. The race took the scheduled 300 laps to complete. The website was founded by Jay "Jayski" Adamczyk in 1996 (who was a fan of Mark Donohue) after he had difficulty finding news regarding the Melling Racing team, and subsequently worked to get all NASCAR news grouped together on the site.
