Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada, competitions were greatly altered, either starting late, or being curtailed. Due to border restrictions, many Canadian clubs that participate in soccer leagues with American soccer clubs did not participate, or were forced to play some of their regular season matches in the United States. 2021 Canadian Premier League
The 2021 Canadian Premier League season was the third season of the Canadian Premier League, the Canadian soccer league system, top level of Soccer in Canada, Canadian soccer. Forge FC were defending champions, after defeating HFX Wanderers FC in the 2020 Canadian Premier League Final, 2020 final. The season was planned to commence on May 22, the Victoria Day weekend, pending the approval of government authorities and the state of the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. However, on May 14, it was announced that the start was to be pushed back to mid-June or early July. Woodbridge Strikers
Woodbridge Strikers Soccer Club is a Canadian semi-professional soccer club based in Woodbridge, Ontario. The club was founded in 1976 as a youth soccer club and added its semi-professional club in League1 Ontario in 2014. The team plays home games at Vaughan Grove Park. The club was one of the ten original founding men's teams in League1 Ontario, which was established in 2014, as well as one of eight original founding teams in the League1 Ontario women's division, which was established in 2015. Stéphane Lambese (born 10 May 1995) is a professional footballer who plays as a right back. Born in France, he represents Haiti internationally. Salvadoran Football Federation
The Salvadoran Football Federation ( or ) is the official governing football organization in El Salvador and is in charge of the El Salvador national football team, and El Salvador national beach soccer team. The federation is also in charge of the three tiers of domestic club competition, including the top-flight Primera División de Fútbol Profesional. In May 2010, FIFA briefly suspended teams and associated members from international competition on the grounds that the Salvadoran government had not acknowledged the authority of the Normalisation Committee set up to represent FESFUT. Children's Mercy Park is a soccer-specific stadium in Kansas City, Kansas, United States, and is the team home for Sporting Kansas City of Major League Soccer (MLS).
