The Chief of the Defence Staff (, JEMAD) is the highest-ranking military officer in the Spanish Armed Forces and is the principal military advisor to the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defence, the National Defence Council and the National Security Council. Francesca Lluc Armengol Socias, known as Francina Armengol Socias (; born 11 August 1971), is a Spanish politician from the Socialist Party of the Balearic Islands. She currently serves as president of the Congress of Deputies since 2023 Cortes Generales internal elections, 2023 and as member of the Congress of Deputies from the Balearic Islands (Congress of Deputies constituency), Balearic Islands since 2023. Juan José Omella
Juan José Omella y Omella (also Joan Josep; born 21 April 1946) is a Spanish prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He has been serving as the archbishop of Barcelona since his installation on 26 December 2015 and as a cardinal since 28 June 2017. He was the president of the Episcopal Conference of Spain from 2020 to 2024.
